The Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Odisha, has released the Round 1 counselling schedule for Odisha NEET PG 2026 admissions to MD, MS, and diploma programmes. The revised provisional merit list and provisional seat matrix will be published on October 30, 2026, at 4 PM, followed by choice filling and locking from November 1 to 3. Seat allotment is scheduled for November 5, and reporting at allotted colleges is scheduled for November 6–7.
Candidates should note that the seat matrix and merit list are provisional documents, not allotment results. The schedule is published on the official counselling portal, dmetodisha.in .
Odisha NEET PG 2026 Round 1: Complete Schedule
| Stage | Date |
|---|---|
| Revised provisional merit list and provisional seat matrix | October 30, 2026, 4 PM |
| Choice filling and locking | November 1–3, 2026 |
| Seat allotment and allotment-cum-admission letter | November 5, 2026 |
| Reporting at allotted colleges | November 6–7, 2026 |
What Candidates Should Do Before October 30
The three-day gap between now and the merit list release is preparation time:
Assemble documents. Keep your NEET PG scorecard, admit card, MBBS degree/provisional certificate, internship completion certificate, medical registration, category certificate (if applicable), and identity proof ready for verification and reporting.
Review college options. The seat matrix will show college-wise and course-wise availability. Candidates can familiarise themselves with participating Odisha medical colleges and their MD/MS/diploma programmes in advance so that choice filling on November 1 is faster.
Understand the provisional nature of the lists. The October 30 merit list is revised provisional. If any corrections are subsequently issued, candidates should check the portal again before locking choices.
Merit List and Seat Matrix: What to Expect
The revised provisional merit list will contain candidate ranks and eligibility status for Odisha state quota PG medical seats. The provisional seat matrix will list college-wise and course-wise available seats for Round 1.
Neither document constitutes a seat allotment. Allotment occurs only after choice filling and locking are complete, and the result is published on November 5.
Choice Filling (November 1–3)
Choice filling and locking will be conducted online at dmetodisha.in. Candidates must:
- Log in with their credentials.
- Select preferred colleges and courses in order of priority.
- Save and lock the preferences before the November 3 deadline.
Preferences that are saved but not locked will not be considered for allotment. Candidates should enter as many genuine preferences as possible to maximise their chances within their rank and category.
Seat Allotment and Reporting
Seat allotment will be published on November 5, 2026. Allotted candidates must download their allotment-cum-admission letter from the portal.
Reporting at the allotted college is scheduled for November 6–7, 2026. Candidates must carry original documents for verification and complete admission formalities within this two-day window. Failure to report may result in forfeiture of the allotted seat.
