The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will close NEET-MDS 2026 Round 3 registration today, October 27, at 3:00 PM (server time). Fee payment will remain available separately until 6:00 PM on the same day .
Candidates who have completed registration but not paid the fee must do so before 6:00 PM. Registration without fee payment does not constitute a complete application for Round 3 allotment.
What Closes Today: Registration vs Fee Payment
MCC has set two separate deadlines for Round 3:
| Step | Deadline |
|---|---|
| New registration | October 27, 2026, 3:00 PM |
| Fee payment | October 27, 2026, 6:00 PM |
Candidates who registered earlier but have not completed fee payment are still within the payment window until 6:00 PM. Those who have not registered at all must complete registration before 3:00 PM .
Choice Filling and Locking: October 28 Deadlines
Choice filling for Round 3 remains open until October 28, 2026, at 11:55 PM. Choice locking is available only on October 28, from 2:00 PM to 11:55 PM .
Important: If choices are not manually locked by 11:55 PM, the system will automatically lock the saved preferences . Candidates should lock their choices during the designated window to confirm their selections.
What Happens If You Miss the Deadline?
Candidates who fail to register by 3:00 PM on October 27 cannot participate in Round 3 allotment. There is no late registration window for Round 3. The next opportunity would be the stray vacancy round, which is a separate counselling process with its own schedule.
Candidates who registered but did not pay the fee by 6:00 PM will also be excluded from Round 3 allotment.
Round 3 Seat Allotment and Reporting Dates
| Event | Date |
|---|---|
| Round 3 seat allotment result | October 31, 2026 |
| Reporting to allotted institute | November 1–7, 2026 |
Allotted candidates must download their allotment letter and complete reporting formalities within the November 1–7 window.
State Counselling vs MCC: What Candidates Must Track
MCC conducts counselling for 50% All India Quota seats and 100% deemed/central university and AFMS seats. State quota seats are handled by respective state authorities under separate schedules .
Candidates participating in both MCC and state counselling must track both timelines independently. Missing one does not automatically affect the other, but seat acceptance rules may apply.
