What candidates should do right now

1. Look for your link. The mock test URL, username and password are sent by SMS, WhatsApp and email to the contact details given at registration. Check all three. snaptest

How to attempt the SNAP mock test

1. Log in. The username is "SNAP" followed by your SNAP ID. For example, SNAP ID 123456 gives the username SNAP123456. The password shown on the official page is SNAP2026. 
2. Start the test. Select the SNAP Mock Test, click Take Test, and read the general instructions. The timer begins when you click Start Test.
3. Answer and navigate. One question appears at a time. Use Next to move ahead, Mark for Review for doubtful questions and Clear to remove an answer. You can move freely between sections, and a left-hand panel tracks answered, unanswered, marked and unvisited questions.
4. Submit. Click Submit. A summary shows answered, unattempted and marked questions. Confirm with Submit, or use Go Back to change answers.
5. View your score. Click End Test and then View Result. Percentile is not calculated for the mock.

SNAP mock test pattern and marking

The mock has four sections and 60 questions, with each question worth one mark. 

A wrong answer costs 0.25 marks. The total is 60 marks (60 questions × 1 mark).

Illustration: 40 correct, 12 wrong and 8 unattempted answers give 40 − (12 × 0.25) = 37.

Ethics, Morality and Values is the new section this year and replaces five questions each from General English and Analytical Reasoning, keeping the total at 60 questions in 60 minutes. SIU says the mock's look and feel could differ from the actual SNAP 2026 test. 

If the test stops midway

Check your computer and internet connection, then log in again with the same credentials. Your progress is saved, so you can resume. If the problem continues, try another device.

After you finish

Your score appears on screen when you click View Result. It is for your reference only. Note how you did in each section, especially Ethics, Morality and Values, since that is the section with no earlier SNAP papers to practise on.

Prizes for toppers

The top three scorers on the mock receive ₹1,000 Flipkart vouchers each, and the next five receive ₹500 vouchers each. Ties are settled randomly.

Missed the eligibility cut-off?

SNAP 2026 exam dates

The actual computer-based tests are on December 13, 19 and 26, 2026, and the result is due January 12, 2027. Admit cards go live on December 7, 11 and 18. The dates line up in order: admit card 1 for SNAP 01, and so on. Candidates can apply for one, two or all three sessions. SNAP schedules can change at SIU's discretion.
