The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has extended the deadline for submitting SSC (Class 10) and HSC (Class 12) examination forms for the 2027 board exams to November 30, 2026. The extension applies without any late fee, following drought-like conditions in the state. Schools and junior colleges must deposit the collected examination fees with their respective divisional boards by December 7, 2026.
Students who have not yet completed their application should contact their schools or junior colleges immediately to finish the required formalities within the revised window. The official portal for form submission is www.mahahsscboard.in .

Who Can Apply Under the Extended Window
The extension is not limited to regular students. It covers multiple categories, including :
- Regular students (Class 10 and Class 12)
- Repeater students (those reappearing for failed subjects)
- Private students
- Grade improvement candidates
- Students appearing for a few subjects only
- ITI students availing Transfer of Credit
All eligible candidates must complete their online application through their respective schools or junior colleges.
Why the Extension Was Granted
The board decided to waive late fees due to drought-like conditions across Maharashtra, which created financial hardship for many families. No delay fee or extra-late fee will be charged for applications submitted by November 30, 2026 .
This is a departure from the earlier fee schedule. The regular-fee window ran from August 14 to October 31, 2026, followed by a late-fee window (November 1–15) and an extra-late-fee window (November 16–30) . The extension effectively merges the remaining submission period into a single no-penalty window.
What Schools and Junior Colleges Must Do
Schools and junior colleges have specific institutional responsibilities that are separate from the student deadline:
Collect examination fees from students and deposit them with the respective divisional board by December 7, 2026
Submit fee receipts and pre-lists to the divisional board by the same date
Verify student data, including subject codes, language options, and name spellings, before final submission
The board has instructed schools to complete uploads and submissions well before the deadline to avoid technical issues during peak load.
Tentative Exam Schedule for 2027
The board has announced the broad examination windows for the February–March 2027 session. These are tentative dates covering the overall exam period, not the subject-wise schedule .
| Examination | Practical/Internal Assessment | Written Exams |
|---|---|---|
| HSC (Class 12) | January 20 – February 6, 2027 | February 8 – March 16, 2027 |
| SSC (Class 10) | January 28 – February 13, 2027 | February 15 – March 11, 2027 |

The exams will be conducted across Maharashtra's nine divisional boards: Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur, and Konkan .
Subject-Wise Timetable Status
The detailed subject-wise timetable for individual papers has not yet been released. The board will publish the day-by-day datesheet separately on mahahsscboard.in .
Students should not treat the broad February–March windows as their individual paper dates. The final subject-wise schedule will determine the exact date and shift for each paper.
