The latest Round 3 documents include clear vacancies, virtual vacancies and 183 newly added MBBS and BDS seats. Candidates can check the matrices through the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in before finalising their Round 3 choices. Round 3 choice filling is already underway. According to the official MCC schedule, candidates can submit choices until 12 noon on September 28, 2026. Choice locking will be available from 7 PM on September 27 until 12 noon on September 28.

183 New MBBS and BDS Seats Added in NEET UG Round 3

Who Is Eligible for MCC NEET UG Round 3 2026?

MCC's revised counselling bulletin sets out different routes into Round 3.  Candidates registered in Round 1 or Round 2 who did not receive a seat do not need to register again. Fresh Round 3 registration is available to eligible candidates who did not register in Round 1 or Round 2, subject to payment of the required registration and security fees. Importantly, candidates who resigned or did not report in Round 2 are not automatically barred from Round 3. MCC states that these candidates need to fill fresh choices with full payment of the applicable fees. All participating candidates should check their individual eligibility and payment status through MCC before submitting choices.

3. Go to the Current Events section.
4. Open the newly added, virtual vacancy or clear vacancy Round 3 document.
5. Search the PDF using the college, state, course or institute name.
6. Check the quota and category carefully before adding the college to the choice list.

What Should Candidates Check Before Choice Locking?

Candidates should compare the matrix with their eligibility rather than choosing a college only because a vacancy appears in the PDF.

• reservation category
• gender restrictions where applicable

• hostel charges
• bond/service conditions

• reporting requirements

Candidates should also arrange their preferences in genuine order of choice. Seat availability alone does not indicate the probability that a particular candidate will receive that seat.

What Happens After NEET UG Round 3 Choice Filling?

MCC will process Round 3 seat allotment on September 28 and 29, followed by the scheduled result on September 30, 2026. Reporting at allotted institutes is scheduled from October 1 to October 9. Round 3 carries stricter consequences than earlier rounds. MCC states that candidates allotted a Round 3 seat who fail to report will lose their security deposit and be eliminated from further counselling rounds.
