While students were applying for NEET PG examination, the Government of India in its alignment with the Health Ministry passed a notification suggesting few changes in the functioning of MBBS students.

Before this notification, students who have completed their undergraduate in Medical Sciences were motivated to provide their Health Services to the private sector. Large numbers of private hospitals can be seen evolving due to this motivation to the private sector.

To encourage MBBS students to serve in rural areas, a Parliamentary Standing Committee was made functional and asked to provide a report. Sometime, this report which is made in a certain context provide solutions to long-term questions.

The Parliamentary Committee recommended that the Central or State government should provide a competitive pay to MBBS Doctors. Since most of the Doctors look at their future in context of an economic pay-scale to contribute to their loan of their high Tuition fees, they were aligned towards the private sector. To make MBBS students comfortable on an economic playground, the committee has asked the Government to provide a certain amount to MBBS Doctors.

The Committee has also asked the Government to provide certain incentives and a little bit of reservation in certain places to these MBBS Doctors. Till now, Reservation has only been provided through Caste, Class or Gender. There was a cap that was being placed on the admission process. If panel’s suggestion are passed by the Medical body, there might be few issues regarding cases that have been fought in the Supreme Court of India.

The government wants to place an ideology of multi-skilling and continuous professional development. The incentives are going to be financial and academic along with professional ones.
