The web option entry process started on August 27, 2026, and candidates can submit their preferences until September 2, 2026. Candidates will also get an opportunity to modify their submitted options on September 3, 2026. The Phase 1 seat allotment result is scheduled to be released on September 7, 2026, after 6 PM.

AP ICET Web Options 2026 Important Dates

Candidates must complete certificate verification and ensure that their status is shown as eligible in the candidate login before exercising web options.

How to Exercise AP ICET Web Options 2026?

Candidates can follow these steps to submit their college and course preferences:

1. Visit the official counselling portal at cap.apcfss.in.
2. Open the Candidate Login section.
3. Log in using the required credentials sent to the registered mobile number.
4. Download or check the list of participating colleges, courses and available options.
5. Prepare a preferred college list before entering choices online.
6. Select MBA or MCA colleges and courses in order of priority.
7. Review the selected preferences carefully and save the options.
8. Take a printout or save a copy of the submitted options for future reference.

Candidates should avoid selecting colleges randomly. The preference order is important because the seat allotment process considers the candidate's rank, category, local status, seat availability and order of submitted choices.

AP ICET 2026 College Selection Strategy

Candidates should divide their college preferences into ambitious, realistic and safer options based on their AP ICET rank and previous-year closing ranks.

Top-ranked candidates can consider leading university departments such as Andhra University, Sri Venkateswara University and Acharya Nagarjuna University, while candidates with comparatively higher ranks should include a wider range of private and self-financed colleges.

Candidates are advised to exercise as many suitable options as possible instead of entering only a few colleges. However, they should select only those institutions where they are genuinely willing to take admission if allotted.

A total of 344 participating institutes are listed across the Andhra University, Sri Venkateswara University and statewide regions for AP ICET counselling.

What Happens After Web Option Entry?

Candidates can modify their preferences on September 3, 2026 before the options are finally frozen. Once the options are locked, further changes will not be permitted.

The AP ICET Phase 1 seat allotment result will be published on September 7 after 6 PM. Candidates who receive a seat will have to complete online self-reporting and physically report to the allotted college between September 8 and September 11, 2026.

Candidates should regularly check cap.apcfss.in for allotment results, reporting instructions and further counselling updates.
