Published 10 Aug 20263 min read
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is set to release the NEET PG 2026 city intimation slip shortly, giving lakhs of MBBS graduates their first indication of where they will sit for this year's postgraduate medical entrance exam. As per the official schedule, the city slip is expected to be issued on August 11, 2026, roughly 20 days ahead of the exam date.
NEET PG 2026 will be conducted on August 30 in a single shift, spread across approximately 340 cities and more than 1,300 examination centers nationwide. The city intimation slip is traditionally released before the admit card so that candidates get sufficient lead time to plan their travel and accommodation, especially those who may be allotted a center outside their home city.
What the City Slip Will Contain
Once released, the city intimation slip is expected to carry the following details:
- Candidate's name
- Application number
- Roll number
- Allotted examination city
- Examination date
- Important instructions for candidates
Candidates are strongly advised to cross-check every detail on the slip carefully. In case of any discrepancy in the allotted city or personal details, they should immediately follow the correction or grievance process laid out by NBEMS rather than waiting until admit card release.

Candidates are advised to refer to the official information bulletin for the detailed question paper structure, marking scheme, and exam duration.
