Choice filling for Round 1 of the Maharashtra NEET UG 2026 stray vacancy rounds closed at 11:59 PM on 18 October. The Maharashtra State CET Cell is due to publish the Round 1 selection list for MBBS and BDS (Group A) seats on 19 October 2026. Allotted candidates must join their colleges in person on 20–21 October, up to 5:30 PM.
Only candidates who registered earlier and were not allotted a seat up to CAP Round 3 could take part. New registration was not offered.

How to Check the Selection List
Once published, candidates can check the list through mahacet.org by opening the MBBS/BDS counselling section and logging in with their existing credentials [VERIFY exact path].
Who Was Eligible
Candidates who qualified in NEET UG 2026, registered for state counselling, filled preferences earlier, and were not allotted a seat up to CAP Round 3. They also had to meet clause 4 of the information brochure.
Not eligible:
- Candidates who joined and hold a state seat up to Round 3, including fresh Round 3 allottees
- Candidates who joined and hold an All India Quota seat up to Round 3
- Candidates allotted a seat in an All India Quota stray round
- Candidates allotted a seat in stray Round 1 cannot take part in later stray rounds
Rules to Remember
- No new registration was offered for these rounds.
- Choices from CAP Round 3 are void. Fresh preferences were required.
- Each stray round has separate choice filling. Earlier choices do not carry forward.
- Joining is mandatory. The CET Cell advises filling only colleges the candidate will actually join.
- A Round 1 allotment ends stray-round participation.
What to Do After the List
Allotted candidates must report in person to the allotted college with original documents and required fees. Fees are paid by demand draft, NEFT or RTGS. Joining ends on 21 October at 5:30 PM. Resigning after 21 October attracts a penalty under the information brochure. Check the college notice for the exact documents [VERIFY].
Candidates not allotted a seat in Round 1 can prepare for Round 2, which opens on 21 October. Fresh choice filling will be needed for each round.
Why the Dates Changed
The CET Cell's first schedule (Notice No. 23, dated 12 October 2026) had earlier dates, including a Round 1 selection list on 17 October. A later notice cancelled it, and a revised schedule now follows MCC's stray schedule. MCC's stray result is also scheduled for 19 October. The original notice excludes candidates allotted a seat in an All India Quota stray round. How this will be applied on 19 October is not explained in the reports reviewed [VERIFY with the CET Cell].
