Haryana NEET UG 2026 Stray Round: Registration and Choices Close on October 19

Haryana’s NEET UG 2026 stray-vacancy round reaches its first deadline on 19 October 2026 at 11:59 PM. Eligible MBBS and BDS applicants must complete the applicable registration, editing and fresh choice-filling steps within this window. For returning candidates, the important point is not simply whether an account already exists. Earlier preferences will not carry forward: the stray round requires a fresh set of choices. The schedule covers the 2026–27 admission session and is labelled tentative.
The dates to keep together
The notice separates the application stage from allotment, payment, verification and joining. Completing one stage does not complete admission.
| Stage | Scheduled date or deadline |
|---|---|
| Fresh registration, editing and choice filling/locking | 17–19 October; closes at 11:59 PM |
| Provisional allocation, grievances and allocation after grievance redressal | 21 October |
| Online provisional tuition-fee payment | 21–23 October; closes at 8 PM |
| Physical document verification | 24 October |
| Last date for joining | 26 October, 4 PM |
All dates are in 2026. Candidates should monitor the official notice page for any revision.
Check eligibility before selecting colleges
Candidates registered in the earlier three rounds do not need to register again. That does not mean every previously registered candidate is eligible for the stray round.
The notice excludes candidates allotted a seat in Haryana’s third round. It also excludes candidates who joined a seat through the All India Quota or any state up to Round 3, even if they subsequently resigned.
Before proceeding, compare these restrictions with your actual allotment and joining history. Do not assume that a resignation automatically restores eligibility, or that an active login proves that you can participate.
Build a fresh, realistic preference list
Treat the choice list as a decision about colleges you would genuinely join. Review the current vacancy information, course, applicable quota and institution before placing a preference.
As a practical check, discuss tuition, accommodation and other college charges with your family before locking a choice. An affordable application is not necessarily an affordable course. Confirm the relevant costs directly with the institution and official counselling documents.
Keep a copy of the final submitted choices and payment acknowledgements. A list saved on your own device is useful for reference, but it is not a substitute for completing submission on the counselling portal.
Payment and verification are separate steps
Read the security-deposit conditions in the complete official notice, including the requirement for an applicable balance payment. Do not assume that a deposit from an earlier round completes every financial requirement now. For candidates provisionally allotted a seat who pay the prescribed tuition fee, physical verification is scheduled at Sushruta Auditorium, Pt. B. D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak, on 24 October. Keep original certificates ready and follow the subsequent reporting instructions for the allotted institute. Plan travel and document arrangements early, but use the final official instructions when deciding when and where to report.
Understand the consequence of not joining
The notice provides for forfeiture of the security deposit if an allotted candidate does not join, along with exclusion from any further round, if held. Filling a college merely to increase the number of preferences can therefore have consequences.
The immediate task is clear: confirm eligibility, review the applicable deposit requirement and submit fresh choices before the deadline. Then track each later stage separately through the official counselling portal and Only Education’s news desk.
