And if MTech was your exam — held back on May 23 — you're staring down 77 days of silence from the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). Neither number looks great next to how KEA usually operates.

So, When's It Actually Coming?

Nobody outside KEA seems to know for sure. There's been chatter floating around that the result could land sometime this week — anywhere between August 10 and 14 — but that's not coming from KEA itself. No official word, no confirmed date, nothing on the website yet. For now, all candidates can do is keep checking cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/pgcet2026 and wait.

This Delay Is Actually Kind of Unusual

Here's what makes this year stand out: KEA doesn't usually take this long. Look at the numbers from previous years and you'll see the pattern — most results land somewhere between 35 and 47 days after the exam. The one outlier was 2023, when it took 59 days. This year's MBA/MCA wait has already pushed past that record, and it's not over yet.
 

When It Does Go Live, Here's What to Do

No need to overthink this — the process is the same as every year:

• Head to cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/pgcet2026
• Find and click the results link for your exam (MBA, MCA, or MTech)
• Type in your PGCET number and date of birth — that's literally all you need, no other ID
• Clear the CAPTCHA and hit submit
• Your rank and score should pop up right there

If the direct link gives you trouble, there's a backup route too — go through the 'Admissions' tab on the KEA homepage, pick 'PGCET-2026' from the dropdown, and the results link is right there.

What You'll Actually See on the Scorecard

Once you're in, the scorecard — a downloadable PDF — will have your name, PGCET number, category, the marks you scored, your rank, and which program you'd applied under. If something looks off — wrong category, wrong marks, whatever — don't sit on it. Reach out to KEA directly to get it sorted.

And After the Result... What Then?

Getting your result is really just step one. The real work — counselling — kicks off after that, and it's a fairly long chain:

2. Option entry
3. Mock seat allotment (so you get a preview before it's final)
4. A window to tweak your options if needed
5. Round 1 seat allotment
6. Choice filling
7. Fee payment
8. Reporting to your allotted college

If seats are still open after all that, KEA typically runs a second round to mop up the vacancies.

Two Things People Keep Asking

Does KEA release cutoffs with the result? Nope — not at this stage. Cutoffs only show up later, during counselling, as separate PDFs that reveal the closing rank at which each college's seats filled up.

Is this delay normal? Not really, no. It's longer than most years, though not unprecedented — 2023 came close. Whether that means anything for how the counselling timeline shifts afterward is still unclear.
