The placement season at Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) for the Class of 2024–26 has wrapped up on a very positive note.

The placement season at Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) for the Class of 2024–26 has wrapped up on a very positive note. In a job market that’s constantly changing, the institute has once again shown why it remains one of the most trusted and preferred B-schools in the country.
This year, 596 students took part in the final placements and together received 664 job offers from 177 recruiters. One interesting trend was the rise in new recruiters—around 35% of the companies were first-time participants. This clearly shows that more organisations are looking at IIM Bangalore as a strong talent pool, while regular recruiters continue to return year after year.
Talking about salaries, the numbers are impressive yet steady. The average package was around ₹35 LPA, and the median stood close to ₹32.5 LPA. Instead of dramatic jumps, these figures reflect something more important—consistency and reliability, even when the broader hiring market has its ups and downs.
As seen in previous years, consulting remained the most popular sector, making up nearly 45% of all offers. Tech and product roles followed, while finance and investment banking also held a significant share. This trend shows how companies continue to trust IIMB graduates for problem-solving, strategy, and high-impact business roles.
Among the top recruiters were well-known global firms like Boston Consulting Group, Bain & Company, McKinsey & Company, and Accenture Strategy. At the same time, companies from sectors like FMCG, e-commerce, finance, and technology also offered a wide range of roles—from marketing and analytics to operations and general management.
What really stands out is the variety of opportunities students had. Along with traditional roles, there were openings in newer areas like fintech, healthcare, and digital transformation. While most offers were based in India, a few international roles added an extra layer of global exposure.
Earlier in the placement cycle, IIM Bangalore had already achieved 100% summer placements for the 2025–27 batch, with over 600 students securing internships. This strong foundation played a big role in the smooth completion of final placements.
Overall, the 2026 placement season at IIM Bangalore reflects stability, strong industry trust, and meaningful career opportunities. It’s not just about high salaries—it’s about consistent outcomes and the kind of roles that help students build long-term careers.
