Eligible candidates can submit their applications until 5:00 PM IST on November 25, 2026. Round 2 interviews are scheduled for December 12 and 13, 2026. The EPGP is a one-year full-time residential programme leading to an MBA degree and is designed for experienced professionals. Round 2 actually opened on August 19, 2026, so candidates should treat November 25 as the key remaining application deadline rather than as the opening of a new application window. Who Can Apply for IIM Bangalore EPGP 2027?

Applicants must meet IIMB’s academic, professional-experience and entrance-test requirements. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. SC, ST and PwD candidates need at least 45% marks or equivalent CGPA. Applicants must also have at least five years of full-time work experience as of March 31, 2027, acquired after completing the bachelor’s degree. IIMB states that applicants preferably have less than 12 years of experience. IIMB also allows candidates without a conventional bachelor’s degree to apply if they completed CA, ICWA or CS after Class 12, subject to the applicable marks/CGPA requirement.

What GMAT or GRE Score Is Required?

A valid GMAT or GRE score is mandatory for EPGP 2027–28. The score must remain valid on the date the candidate submits the application. IIMB’s EPGP FAQ states that there is no fixed minimum GMAT score; evaluation is relative to the applicant pool. The GMAT/GRE score is generally valid within five years of the application-submission date.

Candidates must have their official score sent to IIMB using the relevant code. At-home online GMAT/GRE scores are not accepted for EPGP 2027. CAT is not accepted for EPGP admission.

Documents Required for IIMB EPGP Application

The official application requirements include:

• SSC/Class 10 transcript;
• HSC/Class 12 transcript;
• bachelor’s degree transcripts;
• bachelor’s degree certificate;
• GMAT or GRE scorecard;
• Statement of Purpose explaining achievements and future goals;
• work-experience letters or first and last payslips showing joining dates;
• category certificate, where applicable;
• PwD certificate, where applicable. 

Candidates should prepare these documents before the deadline rather than waiting until the final day.

Two Online Reference Letters Are Mandatory

IIMB requires two online reference letters as part of the EPGP application. Applicants must provide the email addresses and contact details of two referees. IIMB says one referee should preferably be the candidate’s current employer or someone who can assess the applicant’s professional performance. The referees must submit their recommendations online before the Round 2 deadline. Importantly, the application cannot be submitted until the reference section is complete, and IIMB does not provide a separate extension for reference submissions.

How to Apply for IIM Bangalore EPGP Round 2

Candidates should use the official EPGP admissions portal and complete the application before 5 PM IST on November 25. The process broadly involves creating the application, entering academic and professional information, adding GMAT/GRE details, uploading documents and the Statement of Purpose, nominating two referees and paying the ₹7,000 non-refundable Round 2 application fee. Candidates should apply in only one admission round. IIMB states that candidates found applying in more than one round will be disqualified.

How Does IIM Bangalore Select EPGP Candidates?

Applications that meet the minimum requirements are considered for shortlisting.

After the interview stage, IIMB calculates a composite score based on factors including:

• academic track record;
• GMAT/GRE score;
• quality of work experience;
• performance in the Writing Ability Test;
• interview performance. 

The number of admission offers depends on seat availability as well as the candidate meeting applicable composite-score or component-score thresholds determined by the admissions committee.

When Are the Round 2 Interviews?

Round 2 interviews are scheduled for December 12 and 13, 2026. The listed interview cities are Bengaluru, New Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata. Candidates who are outside India during the scheduled interview dates can be provided an online interview. Only shortlisted candidates will receive interview details by email.

When Will IIMB EPGP Round 2 Offers Be Released?

IIMB’s current schedule lists:

• Offers and waitlist: December 24, 2026
• Offer acceptance deadline: January 4, 2027
• Withdrawal deadline: January 14, 2027. 

These dates remain tentative and should be checked on the official website closer to the selection stage.

What About IIMB EPGP Round 1?

For Round 1, IIMB’s official admissions calendar scheduled offers and the waitlist for September 21, 2026, with selected candidates required to accept offers by October 1, 2026. The Round 1 withdrawal deadline is October 10. Candidates should use their individual IIMB communication or applicant portal for offer-specific instructions.
