GGU Announces Special UG Offline Counselling for September 29, 2026

Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGV), Bilaspur, has published CUET UG counselling guidelines for an undergraduate admission process scheduled for September 29, 2026. The notice, titled “CUET UG Counselling Guidelines 2026 for 29.09.2026,” was issued on September 23 and is available on the university’s official CUET UG admission portal. The September 29 process comes as GGV continues to fill vacant undergraduate seats for the 2026–27 academic session through offline and programme-specific counselling. Candidates interested in admission should check the latest vacancy notice for their preferred programme before travelling to the Bilaspur campus.

GGU UG Special Offline Counselling 2026: Key Details

GGV’s main admissions page currently lists the September 29 CUET UG counselling guideline as one of its latest admission notifications.

Which UG Seats Are Available for GGU Counselling?

Candidates should not assume that every undergraduate programme has vacancies. GGV has been publishing programme-wise vacancy and spot-counselling notices throughout September. Its CUET UG 2026 admission page includes separate updates for programmes such as:

• BSc Biotechnology;
• BSc Forensic Science;
• Botany;
• BPharm;
• BA English;
• BSc Computer Science;
• BCA;
• BBA;
• Chemistry;
• Forestry;
• Anthropology and other UG programmes.

The university also published general CUET UG vacancy data as on September 3, 2026, but subsequent programme-specific updates mean candidates should check the latest notice for their chosen course before attending counselling.

Who Can Participate in the September 29 Counselling?

Candidates must satisfy the programme-specific academic eligibility and the participation rules given in GGV’s September 29 counselling guideline. The supplied information states that CUET UG 2026 candidates can participate. However, candidates should not assume that CUET participation is the only possible eligibility route unless this is explicitly stated in the latest guideline. GGV has historically used broader eligibility rules in some special offline counselling rounds. For example, its official October 2025 spot-counselling guideline first prioritised candidates with a relevant CUET score and later allowed consideration of other applicants against seats that remained vacant. That earlier rule should not automatically be applied to 2026. Candidates should follow the September 29, 2026 notice for the current priority order.

Is CUET UG 2026 Mandatory for GGU Spot Counselling?

The September 29 notice is published under GGV’s CUET UG 2026 admission section and is titled “CUET UG Counselling Guidelines 2026.” However, whether GGV will consider only CUET UG 2026 candidates or will also accept fresh/non-CUET applicants after exhausting CUET merit should be checked in the current counselling guideline. Do not publish “only CUET UG 2026 candidates are eligible” until the September 29 guideline explicitly confirms this. Candidates with CUET scores should keep their score details available because CUET merit is relevant to the university’s UG admission process.

How to Participate in GGU UG Offline Counselling

Candidates interested in the September 29 round should:

1. Visit GGV’s official CUET UG 2026 admission page.
2. Open “CUET UG Counselling Guidelines 2026 for 29.09.2026.”
3. Check whether the preferred programme has a current vacancy.
4. Verify the programme-specific eligibility criteria.
5. Note the exact reporting time and department/venue mentioned by GGV.
6. Keep the prescribed original documents and photocopies ready.
7. Report physically on September 29 within the notified reporting window.
8. Complete document verification and admission formalities if selected.
9. Pay the applicable admission fee within the time allowed by the university.
10. Candidates should avoid relying on a generic campus reporting instruction if the notice directs them to a specific department or counselling desk.

What Documents Should Candidates Keep Ready?

The exact September 29 checklist should be taken from the official GGV guideline and the notice for the candidate’s selected programme. Candidates should be prepared with admission-related documents such as academic records, category documents where applicable and CUET-related records if required.

However, the exact requirement for the following should be confirmed from the current notice:

• CUET UG 2026 scorecard
• CUET UG admit card/application form
• Class 10 certificate
• Class 12 marksheet/certificate
• Category/EWS certificate
• transfer certificate
• migration certificate
• photo ID
• photographs
• number of photocopy sets

Candidates should not travel with only digital copies unless the university specifically permits them.

How Will Seats Be Allotted?

Admission will be subject to:

• availability of seats in the selected programme;
• the candidate satisfying programme eligibility;
• the merit/priority method prescribed by GGV;
• successful document verification;
• payment of the applicable fee.

In GGV’s October 2025 special offline process, the university used a priority order that first considered registered candidates with relevant CUET scores, followed by other CUET candidates and then other eligible candidates on Class 12 merit if vacancies remained. That provides useful context about how GGV has handled late spot rounds previously, but the September 29, 2026 guideline remains authoritative for this round.

What Candidates Should Check Before Travelling to Bilaspur

Candidates should verify five things before making travel arrangements:

• Programme vacancy: confirm that a seat is still available in the preferred UG programme.
• Eligibility: check subject requirements and minimum qualifying criteria.
• Participation rule: confirm whether CUET UG 2026 participation is compulsory for the programme/round.
• Reporting time and venue: check whether reporting is at a specific department rather than a single common counselling hall.
• Documents and fee: carry exactly what the university asks for and be prepared to complete admission formalities if selected.
• GGV’s website currently notes that it is undergoing migration and that some links may be temporarily unavailable, making it especially important to check the admissions page for updated notices.
