CSAB NEUT 2026 Extends Round 1 Seat Acceptance Fee Payment, Willingness Deadline to August 6

The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has postponed an important deadline for Round 1. This change applies to the CSAB North Eastern States and Union Territories (NEUT) 2026 counseling process. It affects the payment of the seat acceptance fee and the submission of willingness. The new deadline is August 6, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Candidates need to finish both steps on the official website at csab.nic.in/csab-neut. This extension gives candidates more time to confirm their seats. It comes as the Round 1 reporting window opens for the participating institutes. If a candidate misses the new deadline, they might lose their allotment. The CSAB NEUT process is for students from northeastern states and union territories. It helps allocate seats in institutes located in these regions. This process runs separately from the CSAB Special Rounds for NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.

How to Pay the Seat Acceptance Fee and Submit Willingness?

Candidates who got a seat in Round 1 must complete two steps in one process. First, they need to pay the seat acceptance fee online. Then, they have to choose a willingness option from the available list.

1. Visit the official CSAB NEUT portal at csab.nic.in/csab-neut.
2. Log in using your JEE Main 2026 application number and password.
3. Go to the Round 1 seat allotment section on the candidate dashboard.
4. Select the online payment option for the seat acceptance fee.
5. Pay the fee through net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI.
6. Choose the willingness option that fits your preferences.
7. Submit the willingness form before 5:00 PM on August 6.
8. Download the payment receipt and willingness slip for future use.

What Are the Willingness Options?

Each candidate who got a seat must choose one willingness option to stay in the process. This choice determines how the next round will handle the current seat. If they don't select this step, their seat will be automatically cancelled.

• Float: Accept the current seat but keep an open mind for a better branch or institute.
• Slide: Accept the current seat but look for a better branch within the same institute.
• Freeze: Accept the current seat and stop participating in further rounds.
• Withdraw: Give up the seat and leave the CSAB NEUT counseling.
