The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Puducherry, has opened fresh applications and willingness submissions for the Special Stray Round of MBBS and BDS counselling for 2026-27.

The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Puducherry, has opened fresh applications and willingness submissions for the Special Stray Round of MBBS and BDS counselling for 2026-27. NEET UG-qualified candidates can apply for 62 vacant seats until 5:00 PM on November 8, 2026. Course preferences must also be submitted by the same deadline. Fresh applicants will be considered only after the existing merit list is exhausted.

Vacancy Details

The 62 vacant seats are distributed across three institutions, with the majority under the Management Quota :

Important: No Government Quota MBBS seats are available in this round. Unfilled Government Quota seats will be converted to Management Quota after the Government Quota candidate list is exhausted .

Eligibility: Who Is Excluded

All eligible candidates who applied to CENTAC may participate, except the following :

Candidates in the CENTAC Round 3 or Stray Round allotment list (whether joined or not)

Candidates in the Round 3 admitted list of All India Quota or State Quota (including those who joined in Round 1 or 2)

Candidates allotted any seat in the MCC or AYUSH Stray Round

Candidates already admitted cannot resign their seats to participate in this round.

Fee and Forfeiture Rules

To participate, candidates must pay the full tuition fee as the registration fee. Those who paid registration fees in earlier rounds need only pay the applicable balance .

Critical warning: If a candidate is allotted a seat in this Special Stray Round and fails to join, the full tuition fee for the allotted course and quota will be forfeited. For Puducherry SC/ST/EBC/GSS candidates allotted under Government Quota, the ₹50,000 registration fee (MBBS/BDS) will be forfeited .

Non-joining candidates will also be barred from further counselling rounds and debarred from appearing in NEET UG next year .

Course preferences submitted in earlier rounds are null and void; all candidates must submit fresh preferences

Seats will be converted per the Seat Conversion Algorithm, and preferences will be enabled accordingly

Submit willingness and pay the full tuition fee (or balance) via net banking or NEFT/RTGS challan
Submit fresh course preferences between November 4 and November 8, 5:00 PM
