The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has published the results for the second round of seat allotment in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) 2026. Candidates can now check their allotment status on the official website at wbjeeb.nic.in. The result was officially announced on July 21, 2026. Candidates who have been allotted seats must pay a non-refundable seat acceptance fee of Rs 5000 and complete the required formalities by July 23, 2026. The next stage of the counselling process, which includes new registrations and choice filling, will begin on July 24, 2026. The Round 2 allotment covers seats in engineering, pharmacy, and architecture courses at various institutions in West Bengal.

Seat Acceptance Fee and Payment Mode

Allotted candidates are required to pay a non-refundable seat acceptance fee of Rs 5000. This payment must be made online via the candidate portal at wbjeeb.nic.in. Acceptable payment methods include net banking, debit card, credit card, and UPI. Only those who complete the fee payment within the deadline will keep their allotted seat. If the deadline is missed, the Round 2 allotment will be canceled, and the seat will be added to the vacancy pool for the next round of counselling.

How to Check the WBJEE 2026 Round 2 Seat Allotment Result?

Candidates can check their allotment status by following these steps:

  1. Visit the official WBJEEB counselling portal at wbjeeb.nic.in.
  2. Click on the link for the WBJEE 2026 Round 2 seat allotment on the homepage.
  3. Log in using your application number, password, and security PIN.
  4. The details of the allotted institute, branch, and category will appear on the screen.
  5. Download the provisional allotment letter and save a copy for reporting purposes.

How to Accept the Allotted Seat and Complete Reporting?

After checking the result, candidates need to complete the seat acceptance process between July 21 and July 23.
This involves paying the fee, self-reporting, and uploading documents on the portal.

  1. Log in to your candidate account and view the allotment letter.
  2. Choose one of the following options: Accept and Freeze, Accept and Upgrade, or Not Willing to Accept.
  3. Pay the Rs 5000 seat acceptance fee using the online payment gateway.
  4. Complete self-reporting on the portal and download the reporting slip.
  5. Report to the allotted institute for physical verification of documents within the deadline.

Documents Required at the Time of Reporting

Candidates must bring the following original documents along with two sets of self-attested photocopies for verification at the allotted institute:

  1. WBJEE 2026 admit card and rank card
  2. Provisional seat allotment letter and reporting slip
  3. Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and pass certificates
  4. Domicile certificate, if applicable
  5. Category certificate for reserved category candidates
  6. Recent passport-sized photographs and a valid photo identity proof
  7. Proof of seat acceptance fee payment

What Happens After Round 2 for Fresh Candidates?

The next stage of WBJEE 2026 counselling will start on July 24, 2026, allowing new registrations and choice filling. Candidates who did not register earlier can join this stage. Existing candidates who selected Accept and Upgrade will also be eligible for the next round for a better allotment. Seats that remain vacant after Round 2 will be added to the seat matrix for the next round. Fresh registrations will require a separate counselling fee payment on the portal. Candidates must lock their choices within the given window to be eligible for allotment.
