VITEEE 2026 Registration: Apply Online for Engineering Entrance Test

The wait for thousands of engineering hopefuls is steady as the VITEEE 2026 registration process remains open for the upcoming academic session. Organized by the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), this entrance exam is the primary pathway for students to secure a seat in B.Tech programs across its campuses in Vellore, Chennai, AP, and Bhopal. As of today, the application portal has been active for several months, and the board has confirmed that the deadline to apply is March 31, 2026. This gives students just over five weeks to complete their forms and pay the required fees. Interested applicants must complete the entire process through the official VITEEE website.

Important Exam Schedule

The VITEEE 2026 is not just a single-day test; it is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) held over a period of several days. This format allows the university to manage the high volume of students while giving candidates flexibility through a slot-booking system.

• Application Deadline: March 31, 2026.
• Slot Booking Period: Tentatively starts in the first week of April 2026.
• Exam Dates: Scheduled between April 28 and May 3, 2026.
• Result Declaration: Expected by the second week of May 2026.

Candidates should note that once they complete their registration, they will later need to visit the Online Test Booking System (OTBS) to pick their specific exam date and time. This is done on a first-come, first-served basis, so early applicants often get their preferred city and timing.

Who Can Apply?

Before starting the application, students must ensure they meet the criteria. The university is very strict about age and academic marks during the final admission round.

The university accepts students from all recognized national and state boards, including CBSE and ICSE. For those wondering about the exam difficulty, you can review the official VITEEE syllabus to see the topics covered in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, English, and Aptitude.

The application fee for the exam is ₹1,350 for all Indian candidates. The process is entirely digital, and no physical forms are mailed to the university.
