Eligible candidates must complete online registration and document upload by this deadline. The registration fee (₹2,000) and applicable security deposit can be paid until 2:00 PM the same day .
This is the final round for filling vacant MBBS and BDS state-quota seats in government and private medical and dental colleges across Uttar Pradesh. The merit list will be published on November 7, with online choice filling opening at 5:00 PM .

Critical distinction: Registration closes at 11:00 AM, but fee payment remains open until 2:00 PM. The later payment deadline does not extend the registration deadline. Candidates who fail to complete registration and document upload by 11:00 AM cannot proceed to fee payment .
Who Is Eligible — and Who Is NOT
Eligible candidates:
- Candidates who appeared for NEET UG 2026 and meet UP state quota eligibility criteria.
- Candidates who were not allotted a seat in any round of UP NEET UG 2026 counselling (Rounds 1, 2, or 3) .
NOT eligible:
- Candidates admitted in Rounds 1, 2, or 3 of UP NEET UG counselling.
- Candidates who were allotted a seat but did not report after allotment.
- Candidates who resigned from their allotted seat (including those who resigned by the November 5 deadline).
- Candidates admitted through All India counselling (MCC) or another state's counselling in any round .
Important exception: A candidate admitted to BDS in Rounds 1, 2, or 3 may fill MBBS choices in this stray round, provided they pay the MBBS security deposit online .
Warning for resigned candidates: A separate DGME notice permitted resignations from Rounds 1–3 until 5:00 PM on November 5. However, the stray round guidelines explicitly exclude resigned candidates. Resigning does not open a path into the stray round .
Registration Fee and Security Deposit
Every eligible candidate must pay a fresh non-refundable registration fee of ₹2,000 and complete new registration .
The security deposit (refundable) depends on the type of seats the candidate wishes to compete for:
| Seats You Choose | Security Deposit |
|---|---|
| Government medical or dental colleges | ₹30,000 |
| Private medical colleges | ₹2,00,000 |
| Private dental colleges | ₹1,00,000 |
| Both government and private (medical and dental) | ₹2,00,000 |
| Both government and private dental colleges | ₹1,00,000 |

Security deposit exemptions: Candidates who registered in Rounds 1–3, paid security, and were not allotted a seat do not need to pay security again. First-time participants must pay it now .
Payment method: Pay from your own bank account. Without the security deposit, you cannot participate in choice filling .
What Happens If You Get a Seat but Don't Join
This is the most critical warning for stray round participants:
- If a candidate is allotted a seat in the stray round and does not take admission, the security deposit will be forfeited.
- The candidate will be barred from UP NEET UG counselling for the 2027-28 academic year .
Implication: Do not fill choices for colleges or courses you are not prepared to join. The stray round is not a "trial run"—allotment carries a binding commitment.
