Eligibility and Application Process
The TS PGECET is specifically designed for graduates who have completed their B.E./B.Tech/B.Pharm with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).
- GATE/GPAT Priority: It is important for students to remember that candidates with valid GATE or GPAT scores are given preference. They are generally exempted from the entrance test but must still register and participate in the separate counseling process.
- Registration Fee: While the exact fee structure for 2026 will be visible on February 27, it is expected to be approximately ₹1100 for General candidates and ₹600 for SC/ST/PwD applicants.
- Syllabus: The exam will consist of 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) covering core subjects of the respective engineering or pharmacy discipline.
Why TS PGECET 2026 is Crucial for Aspirants
As Hyderabad continues to grow as a global tech and pharmaceutical hub, a postgraduate degree from a premier Telangana institution offers a significant career edge. The TS PGECET allows students to specialize in emerging fields like VLSI Design, Data Science, and Pharmaceutics. With the registration portal opening this Friday, students should prepare their digital documents, including their graduation degree/provisional certificates and category documents, for a hassle-free upload.
What After Registration?
Once the application window closes, the TGCHE will issue hall tickets followed by the computer-based test (CBT) across various centers in Hyderabad and Warangal. The results will lead to the centralized web-counseling process where seats will be allotted based on merit and category-wise reservation.
