Shiv Nadar University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) to advance collaborative efforts in space research and technology. This partnership aims to foster innovation and strengthen India's capabilities in the field of space science.

Shiv Nadar University has entered into a significant partnership with the National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), a key arm of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement, signed on March 5, 2023, aims to foster collaboration in space research and technological innovation, marking a pivotal step in academia-industry synergy.

Key Highlights of the Collaboration

Purpose: The MoU focuses on advancing space research by leveraging the expertise of Shiv Nadar University and NRSC. It emphasizes knowledge exchange, resource sharing, and joint research initiatives.

Significance: This partnership aligns with ISRO's vision of empowering academic institutions to contribute to India's space program, enhancing national capabilities and global scientific advancements.

Participants: The signing ceremony was attended by prominent dignitaries, including Dr. V. Narayanan (Secretary, Department of Space and Chairman, ISRO), Dr. Prakash Chauhan (Director, NRSC), and Dr. Karthik Krishnan (Associate Dean Research, Shiv Nadar University).

During the event, Dr. V. Narayanan highlighted the importance of academia-industry collaborations in driving innovation and fostering a culture of scientific excellence. He reiterated that such partnerships are instrumental in expanding India's leadership in space technology and applications while contributing to global advancements.
