RMS CET 2026 Late Applications Open Until October 25; Check the Separate Payment Cutoff

Families applying for Class 6 or Class 9 admission to Rashtriya Military Schools can use the RMS CET 2026 late-application window until October 25, 2026, at 5 PM.
The current NTA information bulletin provides a separate deadline for successful fee payment: 11:50 PM on October 25. The later payment time should not be treated as additional time to submit a new application.
This is the late window already included in the published schedule, with an additional ₹500 late fee. It is not a newly announced extension of the regular application period.
RMS CET late-window dates
| Activity | Published date or deadline |
|---|---|
| Late-application window | October 21–25, 2026 |
| Late application submission closes | October 25, 5 PM |
| Successful late-fee transaction deadline | October 25, 11:50 PM |
| Application correction window | October 27–28 |
| Stage I written examination | December 13, 2026 |
The examination is for the 2027–28 admission session. Parents should match the examination year, intended class, and admission session before starting the form.
Application fee and additional charges
The bulletin lists a base fee of ₹1,000 for General/OBC/OBC-NCL candidates and ₹750 for SC/ST candidates and wards of personnel killed in action. The ₹500 late fee is additional.
Applicable taxes or payment-service charges may also be payable. Read the amount displayed against the applicant’s category before confirming payment, and keep the transaction acknowledgement.
Check category details against the supporting documents. A fee concession should be selected only where the candidate meets the published condition and can provide the required evidence.
Use the official application route
Start from NTA’s RMS CET website and follow its online-application link. Keep the current bulletin and FAQ available while completing the form.
Review the candidate’s name, date of birth, intended admission class, contact details, and uploaded files before final submission. Use an email address and mobile number that the family can continue to access.
Open uploaded previews where available. A correctly named file can still contain an unreadable scan or the wrong document, so check its contents rather than relying on the filename.
Confirm successful submission
NTA’s FAQ says the application is considered submitted only after successful fee payment and generation of the Confirmation Page.
An amount debited from a bank account should therefore be checked against the status in the application portal. If the Confirmation Page is missing, follow the portal’s payment instructions and retain the error details and transaction reference.
Download the Confirmation Page once it is generated. The FAQ says applicants do not need to send that page or other application documents to NTA, but should retain the required records.
Use the correction window for permitted changes
The October 27–28 correction facility applies only to fields permitted by NTA. It should not be treated as a replacement for completing the application during the late window.
Make a final review now, then note any permitted correction that needs attention when the facility opens. Keep the submitted form so that changes can be checked against the original entry.
Read the current information bulletin and official FAQ before applying. Check NTA’s website for amendments and follow ONLY EDUCATION News for further verified examination updates.
