The Indian Council of Agricultural Research’s counselling portal now provides access to mop-up/final-round allotment letters for the 2026–27 session. The current announcement directs candidates to Applicant Login using their application number and password.
This round covers PG programmes other than the Veterinary stream and PhD programmes in all streams. Allotted candidates must follow the document-verification and payment stages separately; the seat-acceptance-fee deadline is October 24, 2026, at 4 PM IST.
Mop-up deadlines for allotted candidates
| Activity | Scheduled deadline |
|---|---|
| Allotment and associated candidate activity | October 23, 11 AM onwards |
| Universities finish online document verification | October 24, 11:50 AM |
| Candidate document resubmission and university verification of resubmitted documents end | October 24, 2 PM |
| Candidates finish seat-acceptance-fee payment | October 24, 4 PM |
| Reporting by universities | October 24, 8 PM |
The final row concerns reporting by universities. It should not be interpreted as an instruction for candidates to travel to a campus by 8 PM.
Check the requirement shown against your own application. The later payment cutoff does not extend the earlier document-response window.
Check the allotment through Applicant Login
Open the official ICAR counselling portal and follow Applicant Login. Verify the programme, university, and current round before saving the available allotment record.
Use your own credentials and keep them private. Compare the entry with your saved mop-up choices; an older-round document should not be mistaken for the current outcome.
Download the relevant record and retain a copy with your application details. If the portal shows a query or incomplete stage, deal with that requirement rather than assuming that a downloaded letter completes admission.
Respond promptly to document queries
The university checks uploaded documents and may ask for clarification or resubmission. Monitor the candidate account during the available window, even if no email or message has arrived.
Read each query fully. Upload a clear, complete document and confirm that the resubmission is recorded. Keep copies of the files and any acknowledgement.
The counselling brochure warns that failure to respond within the permitted period can lead to cancellation of the seat. Candidates should therefore leave time for both their response and the university’s verification.
Seat acceptance and provisional admission
The PG counselling brochure specifies a ₹10,000 seat-acceptance fee, irrespective of category, after the university marks the documents as verified. This is part of the admission fee.
Check the status and payment instructions in your account before proceeding. Save the successful receipt, transaction reference, and updated admission status.
The Provisional Admission Letter follows document verification, payment, and reconciliation of admission status after the university’s final reporting. Keep the allotment record and admission letter as separate documents.
The brochure’s mop-up instructions do not permit upgradation in this final round. They also say the Applicant Login withdrawal/cancellation option is unavailable and the seat-acceptance fee is not refundable in this round.
Check the admitting university’s next instructions
Review the university’s course fees, hostel arrangements and subsequent joining requirements through its official channels. Do not substitute the central counselling timetable for a university-specific instruction.
Read the official counselling schedule, PG counselling brochure, and current notification index. PhD candidates should use their corresponding brochure as well. Follow ONLY EDUCATION News for further verified admission updates.
