UP NEET PG 2024 Round 3 Counselling: Key Updates and Schedule
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) made a big announcement regarding the NEET PG 2024 counseling process. The significant changes include a decrease in the cutoff percentiles and the announcement of the new third round dates413.
DGME UP, Directorate General of Medical Education and Training, hereby informing that dates regarding Round 3 counselling for UP NEET PG 2024 stand postponed. This has happened following the notification from National Medical Commission (NMC) of recently reducing the NEET PG-2024 cutoff percentile.
Postponed will then be the process of counselling for postgraduate courses through admission into medical institutions in UP offering MD, MS and diploma courses. While waiting for the announcement of the revised schedule, candidates are encouraged to keep monitoring the official website, upneet.gov.in.
Reasons for Postponement
The cut-off percentile for NEET PG is lowered to all categories to allow more candidates to enter the counselling process. This prevent arrangement in the exclusion of newly eligible from participation in registration and choice filling.

- SC/ST/OBC/PwD Category - 10th percentile

- Registration: Starts on January 7, 2025
- Choice Filling: January 8-10, 2025
- Timing: January 8, 2:00 PM to January 107, 5:00 PM
- Seat Allotment Result: January 13, 20253

- Candidate Reporting: January 6-13, 20251
- Verification of Joined Candidates: January 14-15, 20251
