The AIIMS BSc Nursing 2025 Round 2 seat allotment results are being declared on August 3. The article provides a detailed guide on the next steps, acceptance options, and the list of required documents for reporting.

For thousands of medical aspirants who participated in the AIIMS BSc Nursing 2025 counselling, today is a day of critical importance. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is set to declare the results for the second round of online seat allocation for its prestigious BSc (Hons.) Nursing courses for the August 2025 session. The results are expected to be published on the official AIIMS website, aiimsexams.ac.in, and will be a defining moment for candidates who were not allotted a seat in the first round or chose to upgrade their choices.

The second round of counselling is a pivotal stage, as it fills the seats left vacant after the first round of admissions. The results will be based on the fresh choices exercised by eligible candidates and their performance in the AIIMS BSc Nursing entrance examination. This stage of the admission process is highly competitive, and candidates are advised to be prepared for the next steps, which begin almost immediately after the results are declared.

Immediate Next Steps for Candidates

The official schedule released by AIIMS indicates a strict timeline for the post-result process. Candidates must adhere to these dates to avoid losing their allotted seats.

  • Result Declaration: Today, August 3, 2025.
  • Online Acceptance & Document Submission: Candidates who are allotted a seat in Round 2 must accept the seat online and submit their documents from August 4 to August 7, 2025.
  • Reporting to the Allotted AIIMS: The physical reporting to the respective AIIMS institutes for document verification and admission formalities is scheduled for the same window, from August 4 to August 7, 2025.

Candidates who fail to complete these steps within the stipulated time will forfeit their claim to the allotted seat.

A Detailed Guide for Allotted Candidates

Once the results are out and a candidate is allotted a seat, there are two primary options available for them to choose from:

Option 1: Accept the Allotted Seat and Withdraw from Further Rounds If a candidate is satisfied with the seat and institute allocated to them, they can choose this option. By selecting this, they are effectively confirming their admission and will not be considered for any subsequent counselling rounds. They must then download the seat allocation letter from the official portal and proceed to the next steps.

Option 2: Accept the Allotted Seat and Opt for a Better Choice This option is for candidates who accept the allotted seat but still wish to be considered for an upgrade in a subsequent round of counselling. If they are allotted a better seat in a later round, their current seat will be automatically forfeited. If they are not allotted a better seat, they can retain the seat allotted in Round 2. It is important to note that if a candidate is allotted a new seat in a later round and declines it, they will lose their Round 2 seat as well.

Crucial Documents Required for Verification

All candidates who are allotted a seat in Round 2 must report to their respective AIIMS institution with the following documents in original, along with a set of self-attested photocopies:

  1. Offer Letter and Seat Allotment Letter
  2. AIIMS BSc (Hons.) Nursing 2025 Admit Card
  3. NEET UG 2025 Scorecard
  4. Proof of Date of Birth (Matriculation/10th Standard Certificate)
  5. Mark Sheets and Passing Certificate of Class 12
  6. Migration Certificate from the board/university last attended
  7. Category Certificate (OBC-NCL/SC/ST/EWS) for candidates applying under reserved categories. The OBC-NCL and EWS certificates must be in the format prescribed by AIIMS and issued within the specified time frame.
  8. PwBD Certificate, if applicable.
  9. Passport-size Photographs (usually 4-6 copies)

Candidates are strongly advised to check the official AIIMS prospectus for a detailed list of documents and specific format requirements, as any discrepancy can lead to the cancellation of their admission.

What Happens Next?

For candidates who do not get a seat in this round, there is still hope. The AIIMS will conduct further rounds of counselling, including a possible open round, to fill any remaining vacant seats. Aspirants should regularly check the official AIIMS website for announcements regarding the schedule of these future rounds.

The declaration of the Round 2 counselling results marks a significant milestone in the AIIMS BSc Nursing admission process. Aspiring nurses are now at a critical juncture where a careful, well-informed decision will shape their academic and professional future.
