The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released an important update regarding NEET PG 2024 refunds, specifically addressing delays in UPI transactions. Candidates awaiting refunds for security deposits are advised that issues are being resolved and there is no cause for concern. The MCC has reassured all eligible students that they will receive their refunds soon.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued a formal notification concerning the delay in NEET PG 2024 refund transactions, especially those processed via UPI platforms. Many candidates had raised concerns over not receiving their security deposit refunds post-counselling. MCC has now clarified that the delay is being actively resolved in coordination with relevant banking platforms.

Why the Delay in Refunds?

A large number of NEET PG 2024 candidates reported refund delays, particularly for UPI-based transactions

The issue has primarily impacted students who opted for UPI as the mode of refund transfer

MCC noted that the issue is technical in nature and under resolution with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI)

There is no need for panic, and candidates are requested to wait patiently

The refund process is secure, and all eligible candidates will be refunded in due time

What MCC Advises Affected Candidates

Do not raise multiple grievances or complaints regarding refund status

Check the registered bank account and UPI ID used during the application for updates

Keep bank statements ready as proof in case the issue persists

MCC is working closely with NPCI and payment gateways to ensure seamless resolution

Refunds processed through bank accounts (non-UPI) have already been completed for most students

Understanding the NEET PG 2024 Refund Policy

Security deposits are refunded after completion or withdrawal from counselling rounds

Only candidates who did not take admission or withdrew before final rounds are eligible

Refunds are issued automatically to the original payment method used at the time of registration

The UPI delay is temporary and not indicative of any withholding of refunds

MCC has asked students to stay updated via official notices and not rely on speculation

Conclusion
The MCC’s clarification comes as a major relief to NEET PG 2024 candidates awaiting refunds. While UPI refund delays have caused confusion, MCC's assurance guarantees that all eligible students will receive their refunds promptly. Patience and regular tracking of payment accounts are advised.
