The NEET PG 2024 Counselling process is set to commence with the opening of the choice filling window today, November 8, 2024, on the official Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) website, mcc.nic.in. This stage is crucial for candidates seeking admission into postgraduate medical courses, as it allows them to select their preferred colleges and courses based on their NEET PG scores.

Key Dates and Details

The choice filling period will remain open until November 17, 2024, providing candidates ample time to make their selections. On the same day, from 4 PM to 11:55 PM, candidates must lock their choices to finalize their preferences. Following this, the MCC will process the seat allotments from November 18 to November 19, 2024, with the results for Round 1 expected to be announced on November 20, 2024.

Registration Process

Candidates who have registered for NEET PG counselling can log in to the MCC portal to fill in their choices. It is essential for candidates to carefully select and save their preferred options since these choices will determine their seat allocation. The number of choices a candidate can fill is not limited, allowing them to maximize their chances of securing a seat in a desired program.

Reporting Dates

Once the seat allotment results are published, those who receive an allocation will need to report to their respective colleges between November 21 and November 27, 2024. This reporting period is critical as it confirms the candidate's acceptance of the allotted seat.

Importance of Choice Locking

Locking choices is a vital step in the counselling process. If candidates fail to lock their choices by the deadline, their selections will be automatically locked by the system. Candidates are advised to review their choices thoroughly before finalizing them to avoid any last-minute issues. In conclusion, today marks the beginning of a significant phase for NEET PG aspirants as they prepare to fill in their choices for postgraduate medical courses. With the deadline for choice locking approaching quickly, candidates are encouraged to act promptly and ensure they make informed decisions regarding their future in medical education.
