The National-eligibility-cum-entrance-test exam 2026 is going to happen on May 3. The National testing agency has provided strict guidelines to the candidates regarding the examination. The National testing agency has prohibited candidates from carrying items like mobile phones, calculators and even water bottles.

For the last many years it has been the stand of the National testing agency to allow candidates to carry necessary items like water bottles. This year items that are considered extremely necessary like water bottles of certain kind are prohibited from the examination.

Only hard copies of admit cards and a valid identification proof ( ID Card) is allowed in the examination hall. Without these two necessary items, students won’t get an entry in the examination hall. Students with some serious medical condition are allowed to carry a few necessary items but they’ll have to take approval from the testing agency.

All other details of the examination have been provided or informed to the candidate. The examination will be from 2 PM to 5 PM. The examination will take place in 552 cities in India. Many Non-resident Indians (NRI) also appear for the examination. Knowing this, the government takes exams in centres outside the country. NEET will take place in 14 cities outside India.

Students are quite anxious about the Admit Card details. The link for the admit card will be opened soon on the official website of the examination. As informed by an advisory on X, certain items are strictly banned inside the test centres. If any candidate is found with any banned items, they will be booked under unfair means.

The candidate with the banned item are restricted from the examination. All candidates will go through frisking before the exam. Any banned material shouldn’t be carried inside the centre. Banned material include -

  • Any textual material, printed or hand-written.
  • Communication devices
  • Personal items
  • Metallic items
  • Food Material
