AP ICET 2026: Web Option Modification Today; Seat Allotment on Sep 9 at cap.apcfss.in

Candidates participating in the AP ICET 2026 counselling process have one more opportunity to review their college and course preferences. The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has opened the web option modification window today, September 6, 2026. Candidates who have already exercised their web options can log in to the official counselling portal, cap.apcfss.in, and make necessary changes to their preferences. The modification facility will remain available until 10 PM today. The option modification facility is particularly important for candidates who want to add new colleges, remove choices or change the order of their existing preferences before the seat allotment process begins. The AP ICET 2026 Phase 1 seat allotment result is scheduled to be released on September 9, 2026. Candidates who are allotted seats will then have to complete the required self-reporting and college reporting formalities within the prescribed timeline.

Students can modify the order of colleges and courses and make other permitted changes before the option window closes. Once the modification period ends, candidates should carefully check their final preferences. The seat allotment will be prepared based on the options exercised by candidates along with their rank, eligibility, category and availability of seats.

Who Can Modify AP ICET Web Options 2026?

The modification facility is meant for candidates who have completed the required counselling process and have already exercised their web options. Candidates should log in to their counselling account and check whether the modification facility is available on their dashboard. Those who have not completed the required registration or verification formalities may not be able to participate in the option-entry process. How to Modify AP ICET Web Options 2026

Candidates can make changes to their preferences by following these steps:

1. Visit the official AP ICET counselling website at cap.apcfss.in.
2. Open the candidate login section.
3. Enter the required login details.
4. Go to the Web Options section.
5. Review the colleges and courses already selected.
6. Add, delete or rearrange choices, wherever permitted.
7. Place the preferred colleges and courses in the correct order.
8. Save the modified options.
9. Verify the final list carefully before the deadline.

Candidates should not make changes in a hurry. The order of preferences matters because allotment is based partly on the choices entered by the candidate.

AP ICET 2026 Seat Allotment on September 9

After the web-option modification window closes, APSCHE will process the preferences submitted by candidates for Phase 1 allotment. The AP ICET 2026 Phase 1 seat allotment result is scheduled for September 9. Candidates will be able to check their allotment status through the official counselling portal. The allotment is not based solely on the candidate's AP ICET rank. Other factors, including eligibility, category, availability of seats and the preference order entered during counselling, are also considered. Candidates who receive a seat should carefully read the allotment instructions and complete the next steps within the specified time.

What Should Candidates Do After Seat Allotment?

Students who are allotted a seat in the first phase will have to complete the prescribed self-reporting and college reporting process. Candidates should download or save their allotment information and keep the required original documents ready for admission. They should also contact the allotted college, if necessary, to understand the reporting requirements and schedule. Failure to complete the required admission formalities within the given deadline could affect the candidate's admission, so students should not delay after the allotment is announced.

Why Candidates Should Check Their Options Today

The modification window gives candidates a final chance to correct their preference list before allotment. A student may realise, for example, that a preferred college has been placed lower than another institution or that a desired MBA/MCA specialisation has not been included. Candidates should therefore review their choices based on their actual priorities rather than simply adding colleges randomly. It is also advisable to consider factors such as previous cut-offs, college location, course preference, fee structure, placement opportunities and expected availability of seats while arranging options.
