The MHT-CET 2026 application window is currently active for all engineering and pharmacy aspirants across Maharashtra. Candidates must ensure their online registration is submitted through the official portal before the February 12 deadline. This year's process requires mandatory Aadhaar and APAAR ID verification via DigiLocker to maintain student academic records. Detailed schedules for the dual-session exams in April and May are now available on the State CET Cell website. Applicants are encouraged to complete the fee payment early to secure their preferred examination centers and shifts.

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, is currently managing the ongoing registration phase for the MHT-CET 2026. As of January 29, thousands of aspirants have already completed their profiles for the entrance test, which serves as the gateway to undergraduate professional courses in Engineering, Technology, and Pharmacy. The State CET Cell has confirmed that the registration window will remain open until February 12, 2026. This cycle is notably the first to fully implement the APAAR ID system, a unique permanent academic account registry aimed at streamlining the educational data of students across the state.

Mandatory Documentation and Verification Procedures

The registration for MHT-CET 2026 involves a rigorous verification process designed to reduce discrepancies during the later Centralised Admission Process (CAP) rounds.

  • Aadhaar and APAAR ID Integration: Every applicant is required to link their Aadhaar card and a valid APAAR ID through the official portal. This verification is performed via DigiLocker, ensuring that candidate data is authenticated at the source.
  • Selection of Examination Groups: Candidates can opt for the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) group, the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) group, or both. It is essential to select the correct group based on the desired professional course.
  • Form Submission Details: The application process is entirely online. Candidates must upload a recent photograph and signature according to the specified dimensions before the system allows for the final payment of fees.

Revised Fee Structure for 2026 Candidates

The examination authorities have introduced an updated fee structure for the 2026 academic year. These fees vary depending on the candidate's category and the number of sessions they choose to attempt.

Examination Timeline and Session Details

The MHT-CET 2026 schedule indicates that the entrance test will be conducted in two distinct sessions to provide candidates with a second opportunity to improve their scores.

  • Session 1 Schedule: The first attempt for the PCM group is slated for April 11 to April 19, 2026. The PCB group examinations will follow immediately from April 21 to April 26, 2026.
  • Session 2 Schedule: The second attempt for PCB candidates will occur on May 10 and 11, while the PCM group session is scheduled for May 14 to May 17, 2026.
  • Center Allocation: All examinations will be conducted at various designated centers across the State of Maharashtra in a computer-based test (CBT) format.

Conclusion

The registration portal for MHT-CET 2026 remains functional, allowing eligible students to submit their applications until the February 12 deadline. The State CET Cell has centralized all updates and notifications on its official website to ensure that candidates have access to the most recent information regarding exam shifts and admit card releases.
