The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, continues the MHT-CET 2026 registration process for Engineering, Pharmacy, and Agriculture courses. Eligible candidates must complete their online application and fee payment via the official portal by February 12, 2026. This year features mandatory APAAR ID integration and a dual-session exam format. Ensure all documents are verified through DigiLocker to avoid last-minute technical delays.

Since the portal opened on January 10, over 1.6 lakh candidates have already registered for the PCM and PCB groups combined. The registration window remains accessible for all eligible students who have completed or are appearing for their Class 12 examinations this year.

  • Primary Deadline: The last date for online registration and confirmation of the application form is February 12, 2026.
  • Mandatory Digital ID: For the first time, the examination cell has made the APAAR ID (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) compulsory.
  • Stream Options: Applicants can choose between the PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) group, the PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) group, or both.
  • Application Fee: The fee for general category candidates is ₹1,300, while reserved category and PwD candidates from Maharashtra are required to pay ₹1,000.

Examination Schedule and Session Details

The MHT-CET 2026 examination is structured into two distinct sessions to offer candidates multiple opportunities to improve their scores. According to the official 2026-27 schedule, the first session will take place in April, followed by a second session in May. This dual-attempt system is designed to align with various national-level entrance tests and reduce the academic burden on students.

Conclusion

The ongoing registration phase marks the initial step for thousands of students aiming for professional education in Maharashtra. With the February 12 deadline approaching, the State CET Cell has verified that the application portal is functioning to accommodate the remaining candidates. The transition to mandatory Aadhaar and APAAR ID verification through DigiLocker ensures a more transparent and streamlined examination cycle. As the registration process concludes, the focus will shift toward the issuance of admit cards and the commencement of the April examination sessions.
