For engineering aspirants who participated in the MHT CET 2025 Centralised Admission Process (CAP), today is a pivotal moment in their admission journey. The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, has marked August 25, 2025, as the absolute final date for physical reporting and confirmation of admission for CAP Round 3. This crucial deadline applies to all candidates who have been successfully allotted a seat in the third round.

The MHT CET counselling process has been a rollercoaster for many, and this final step for CAP Round 3 is non-negotiable. Candidates must visit their respective allotted engineering institutes in person by 5:00 PM today to secure their seat. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of their admission for this round, leaving their B.Tech dreams hanging in the balance.

A Step-by-Step Guide to Physical Reporting

The physical reporting process is the final and most important phase of admission for an engineering aspirant. It validates all the online steps you have completed so far. Here’s a detailed guide on what you need to do today:

  1. Online Seat Acceptance: Before heading to the institute, you must first log in to your candidate portal and formally 'accept' the seat allotted to you. This is done by paying the seat acceptance fee online. Without this step, your physical reporting will not be processed.
  2. Document Verification: This is the most critical part of the physical reporting process. The institute will cross-verify all the original documents you submitted during your online application. Any discrepancy or missing document can lead to the cancellation of your seat.
  3. Fee Payment: After successful document verification, you will need to pay the remaining college fees to confirm your admission. Payment methods vary, so it is wise to have a bank draft ready in addition to digital payment options.
  4. Receive the Admission Confirmation Letter: Once all the formalities are completed, the college will issue you a provisional admission confirmation letter. This document is your official proof of securing a seat and should be kept safe.

Essential Documents for Physical Reporting

To make the process as smooth as possible, candidates must ensure they have all the necessary documents in order. Prepare both the original documents and a few sets of self-attested photocopies.

  • MHT CET 2025 Scorecard and Admit Card
  • JEE Main Marksheet (if applicable)
  • Class 10th and 12th Marksheets and Passing Certificates
  • School Leaving Certificate
  • Domicile Certificate (for Maharashtra State candidates)
  • Caste Certificate, Caste Validity Certificate, and Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (if applicable)
  • EWS Eligibility Certificate (if applicable)
  • Aadhaar Card or another valid photo ID
  • Passport-size photographs

What Happens Next: A Glimmer of Hope for Un-allotted Aspirants

For candidates who, unfortunately, did not secure a seat in the first three CAP rounds, there is still hope. The State CET Cell has announced that the provisional list of vacant seats for CAP Round 4 will be displayed tomorrow, August 26, 2025. Following this, the option form for the next round will be available from August 28 to August 30, offering another chance for admission.

Finalizing your admission today is a huge step toward building a successful career in engineering. For all the latest news on MHT CET and other engineering admission processes, follow Only Education.
