The application form for the national-level computer-based entrance exam is currently available on the official website, manipal.edu, and high school students must apply before the deadline to be eligible for the multi-phase examination.

The MET 2026 exam is expected to be conducted in two phases, and applicants can attempt both to improve their rank. A separate application window and fee payment are anticipated for the second phase. The application fee is INR 600 and must be paid online.

Step-by-Step Guide to Apply for MET 2026

The application process is entirely online and can be completed by following these steps:

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to manipal.edu and click on the 'Apply Now' tab.
  2. Registration: Register using your name, email address, mobile number, and preferred program/campus.
  3. Fill the Form: Log in using the generated credentials and fill in all personal, academic, and contact details accurately.
  4. Select Preferences: Choose your preferred course and up to three exam cities/centres.
  5. Upload Documents: Upload the scanned passport-size photograph (10KB to 100KB) and signature (20KB to 100KB) as per the specified dimensions and formats (JPG/JPEG).
  6. Fee Payment: Pay the application fee online using net banking, credit card, debit card, or UPI.
  7. Submission: Finally, submit and print a copy of the completed application form for future reference.

Aspirants are advised to be meticulous while filling out the form, as the authorities are not expected to provide a form correction facility.

Eligibility and Exam Pattern for B.Tech

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for B.Tech admissions through MET 2026, candidates must meet the following academic requirements:

  • Qualifying Exam: Must have passed or be appearing for the 10+2 (or equivalent) qualifying examination.
  • Mandatory Subjects: Must have studied Physics, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects, along with Chemistry as an optional subject, in the 12th standard.
  • Minimum Marks: Should have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematics, and one optional subject.

MET 2026 Exam Pattern

The computer-based test will have a duration of 2 hours (120 minutes) and will consist of both Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions. The total score is 240 marks.
