Lucknow University UG Admissions 2026 Begin; Apply by May 31

University of Lucknow has kicked off its UG admission process for the 2026–27 session, giving students across the country a fresh opportunity to apply. If you’re planning to take admission, you can now register through the official SAMARTH portal. Just keep in mind—the last date to apply is May 31, 2026.

This year, there’s plenty to choose from. The university is offering 218 undergraduate courses across streams like Arts, Science, Commerce, Law, Education, and more. Admissions will be carried out not just for the main campus but also for 500+ affiliated colleges, which means students have a wide range of options depending on their preferences.

The process starts with generating your Lucknow University Registration Number (LURN) on the SAMARTH portal. Once that’s done, you can fill out the application form, upload your documents, and pay the fee—all in one place.

Talking about fees, it’s ₹1200 for General, OBC, and EWS categories, while SC, ST, and PwBD candidates need to pay ₹600. Since everything is online, students can complete the entire process from home without needing to visit the campus.

One of the best parts about this year’s admission process is how simple and transparent it has been made. You can track your application status at every step—whether it’s document verification, merit list updates, or seat allotment. It really helps in reducing confusion during such an important time.

Students do need to be careful while uploading documents like their photograph, signature, and academic certificates. Making sure everything is clear and within the required size limits can save a lot of trouble later.

For some courses, entrance exams are expected, with a tentative schedule starting from June 15, 2026. So it’s a good idea to stay updated through the official website and keep checking for any announcements.

Before applying, take a few minutes to read the admission brochure. It gives a clear idea about eligibility, course details, and other important instructions—basically helping you avoid small mistakes that can cause delays.

Overall, with so many course options and a smooth application system, Lucknow University continues to be a popular choice. Just make sure you don’t wait till the last moment—applying early can make the entire process much easier.
