LPUNEST Phase-1 Candidates Gear Up for January–February Test Schedule

The admission season for 2026 has officially intensified as engineering aspirants across India gear up for the Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST) Phase-1. As of late December, the university has streamlined its schedule to accommodate thousands of students seeking entry into premier B.Tech and specialized engineering programs. This phase is particularly crucial for those aiming to secure the highest scholarship brackets, which are typically more accessible during the initial admission window.

Eligibility and Scholarship Opportunities

LPUNEST is not just an entrance gateway but also one of India's largest private scholarship schemes. Performance in this phase directly impacts the tuition fee waivers granted to students.

• Academic Requirements: For B.Tech, candidates must have 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and English.
• Scholarship Brackets: Top-tier performers in Phase-1 can qualify for scholarships covering up to 100% of the program fee.
• No Negative Marking: The exam consists of 125 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and candidates are encouraged to attempt all questions as no marks are deducted for incorrect answers.

Strategic Preparation and Slot Booking

With the January 15 deadline approaching, aspirants are advised to complete their slot booking early to avoid last-minute technical congestion or the unavailability of preferred dates.

• Device Readiness: Students opting for the remote proctored mode must ensure they have a primary device (laptop) and a secondary device (smartphone) for proctoring.
• Counselling Prep: Following the results on February 8, students will need to fill in their online preferences for branch allocation.
• Documentation: Ensure all certificates, including 10th and 12th mark sheets, are ready for the online counselling process starting in mid-February.

In conclusion, Phase-1 remains the most advantageous window for engineering candidates to secure both a seat and financial aid. Aspirants should prioritize completing their slot booking on the official LPUADMIT portal immediately to ensure their preferred examination mode and time. Aspirants must now log in to the official portal to monitor their application status and download their admit cards immediately after.
