LPU NEST 2026 Result Declared: Seat Allocation and Counseling Process Begins for B.Tech Aspirants

Following the declaration, the university has immediately opened the portal for the Online Counseling and Seat Allotment process. This phase is critical for students who appeared for the Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPU NEST), as it determines not only their branch of study but also the quantum of scholarship they are eligible to receive based on their performance.

For regular updates follow Only Education News to stay informed about the subsequent phases of the entrance test.

Counseling Schedule and Seat Allotment

The university follows a phased counseling approach. Candidates who have qualified in the results declared yesterday are now required to fill in their preferences for engineering branches, such as Computer Science (CSE), Robotics, Data Science, and Mechanical Engineering.

The Scholarship Advantage

One of the primary reasons students prioritize LPU NEST is the university's massive scholarship program. The test acts as a dual-purpose exam: an entrance gateway and a scholarship eligibility test.

• Top Performers: Students in the highest percentile brackets can receive scholarships that cover a significant portion of the tuition fee for the entire duration of the four-year B.Tech program.
• Specializations: High-demand branches like B.Tech CSE with AI or Cloud Computing often have higher cutoff brackets, making early counseling registration essential.

How to Participate in Counseling

Qualified candidates must log in to the LPU ADMIT portal to begin the process. The steps include:

1. Preference Filling: Selecting the desired engineering branch and campus.
2. Seat Allocation: The university will allot seats based on the candidate's rank and availability.
3. Fee Payment: To confirm the seat, students must pay an initial allotment fee, which is later adjusted against the program tuition.

Future Opportunity: Next Phase of LPU NEST

For students who missed the current session or wish to improve their scores, LPU typically conducts multiple schedules of the entrance test. However, early applicants often have a better chance of securing their first-choice branch before the seats reach capacity. As students look beyond the national level exams like JEE Main, institutions like LPU offer a robust alternative with strong industry tie-ups and global exchange programs.
