The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2025 application forms are now available on the official KEA website. Candidates can complete their registration, upload required documents, and pay the application fee online until February 21, 2025.

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has officially released the application form for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2025 today, January 23, 2025. This exam is crucial for students seeking admission into various undergraduate courses, including Engineering, Pharmacy, Agriculture, and Veterinary Science across Karnataka. Here’s a detailed overview of the application process, key dates, required documents, and other essential information.

Application Process

The KCET application process for 2025 is conducted entirely online, providing a streamlined experience for candidates. To successfully register, candidates must follow a series of steps.The first step is New User Registration. Candidates should visit the official KEA website at kea.kar.nic.in and click on the registration link. 

They will need to fill in personal details such as gender, category, SSLC number, and date of birth. After submitting these details, candidates will receive an application number and User ID via SMS and email.Next is the Form Filling and Document Uploading stage. Candidates must log in using their credentials to access the application form. 

They will need to provide personal information, communication details, and academic qualifications. Additionally, candidates must upload scanned images of a passport-sized photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and parental signature according to the specified guidelines.

Following this, candidates move on to the Payment of Application Fee. The application fee must be paid online through various payment methods such as debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI. The fee structure is as follows:

  • General candidates: ₹500
  • SC/ST/CAT/Female candidates: ₹250
  • Candidates from outside Karnataka: ₹750
  • Candidates from outside India: ₹5000

Finally, in the Submission phase, candidates must review all entered information and make any necessary corrections by clicking on the ‘Edit Application Form’ button. After accepting the declaration, they can submit their KCET 2025 application form. It is crucial for candidates to take a printout of the submitted form for future reference and get it attested by the Principal of their school or a Gazetted Officer.Candidates are encouraged to complete their applications early to avoid any last-minute issues as the last date for submission is February 21, 2025.
 

Documents Required

Candidates must ensure they have the following documents ready for upload during the application process:

  • Passport-sized photograph
  • Signature
  • Left thumb impression
  • Signature of parents or guardians

Important Notes

  • Candidates are advised to complete their applications early to avoid any last-minute issues.
  • The KCET exam will be held in two sessions: Physics and Chemistry on April 16, followed by Mathematics and Biology on April 17. Each subject will be tested for 80 minutes.
  • It is essential to check eligibility criteria before applying to ensure compliance with all requirements set by KEA.
