The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has opened the Round 2 web options / choice-filling window for Karnataka NEET UG 2026 counselling. Candidates eligible for this round can now log in to the official KEA counselling portal and submit their preferred MBBS and BDS colleges and courses. The window closes on September 9, 2026.

Karnataka NEET UG Round 2 Web Options: Key Update

Round 2 option entry is available through the UGNEET 2026 section on KEA's counselling portal, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in (also accessible via keaonline.karnataka.gov.in). Choices submitted during this window will be used for the Round 2 seat allotment, so candidates should enter and arrange their preferences carefully.

Karnataka NEET UG Counselling 2026: Timeline So Far

The Karnataka NEET UG registration deadline was extended once already this cycle, from July 30 to August 7, 2026, before Round 1 got underway.

Who Can Participate in Round 2

Candidates who did not receive a seat in Round 1, along with Round 1 allottees who are eligible for an upgrade under KEA's rules, can take part in Round 2. Whether previously submitted Round 1 choices carry forward automatically depends on KEA's rules for this specific round — candidates should check their login dashboard to confirm their current option status rather than assume.

What Happens Next

Karnataka's Round 2 option entry runs alongside — but separately from — the national Medical Counselling Committee's (MCC) Round 2 process for the All India Quota, which is following its own, similarly timed schedule. After Karnataka's Round 2 window closes on September 9, the provisional seat allotment result is expected to follow, though KEA has not published an exact date for this. [VERIFY] Candidates who accept a seat will need to complete document submission, pay applicable fees, and report to the allotted college within the given timeline. Further rounds may follow depending on vacant seats.

Official Website

Candidates should use only KEA's official portals — cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea and keaonline.karnataka.gov.in — to fill options, check the seat matrix, and track results.
