The Ministry of Ayush has signed 50 international MoUs to establish academic chairs in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy. These chairs aim to promote Indian systems of medicine globally, encouraging research, education, and international collaboration through top foreign institutions. The goal is to set up academic chairs in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy. These chairs will drive cross-cultural collaboration, research, and awareness about Indian medicine systems on a global academic platform.

In a groundbreaking move to globalize India’s ancient health systems, the Ministry of Ayush has signed 50 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with overseas universities. These academic MoUs are designed to establish dedicated chairs in Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, and Homeopathy across foreign academic institutions. The initiative is set to encourage academic excellence, cultural exchange, and global research in Indian medicine.

Global Expansion Through Academic Chairs

Academic chairs will be set up at major international universities in countries like the USA, UK, and Germany.

These chairs will focus on Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy to foster holistic health practices globally.

The appointed experts will teach, research, and organize events to disseminate the knowledge of Indian medicine.

Collaborative Research and Knowledge Exchange

The initiative will facilitate collaborative research on Indian medicine with global researchers and scholars.

International conferences, seminars, and publications will be supported to share insights and findings.

Foreign students will have better access to study Indian traditional medicine in structured formats.

Boost for Cultural Diplomacy and Healthcare Education

This move enhances India's soft power by integrating traditional medicine into global academia.

Countries will benefit from India’s centuries-old wisdom in preventive and curative healthcare.

The program will also encourage foreign universities to develop full-fledged Indian medicine departments.

Conclusion
The Ministry of Ayush’s decision to promote Indian medicine systems through global academic chairs is a visionary step. By signing 50 MoUs, India is expanding its cultural and healthcare influence while also empowering global scholars with access to holistic healing systems like Ayurveda and Unani. This initiative marks a significant leap in the global acceptance of Indian traditional medicine.
