Today, September 8, 2025, marks the final day for the IISER IAT 2025 Round 7 counselling. All candidates who received an admission offer in this round must complete the necessary formalities by the end of the day.
Final Call to Secure Your Seat
The Round 7 admission offers were released on September 6, and the window for a final decision closes today. The process involves two key steps:
- Online Acceptance: Candidates must log in to the official portal
iiseradmission.inand accept the seat. - Fee Payment: A non-refundable Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) must be paid online to confirm the seat. For General/OBC candidates, the fee is ₹35,000, while for SC/ST candidates, it is ₹17,500. Failure to pay the fee by the end of today will lead to the cancellation of the admission offer and will render the candidate ineligible for any subsequent rounds.
A Look at the Admissions Landscape
With this being the final counselling round for many popular programs, the focus is on filling the remaining vacant seats. Students who were on the waitlist or did not receive an allotment in previous rounds had a final chance in Round 7 to get a seat based on merit and availability.
It is important for all students to be prompt with the formalities, as no extensions will be granted. The official website has also stated that there will be an 8th round beginning on September 11, but admission to many programs has already been declared closed after the earlier rounds. This makes today's deadline even more critical.
After today's deadline, the counselling process will conclude for many of the dual-degree BS-MS programs and other BS programs. For continuous and accurate updates on college admissions and other science-related exams, be sure to follow Only Education News.
