The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) has achieved a remarkable milestone in its placement process for the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) and Post Graduate Programme in Business Analytics (PGPBA) for the Class of 2023-25. All 595 students who participated in the placement process secured jobs across 176 firms, highlighting the strong demand for IIMB graduates in the industry.

  • Top Recruiters: Accenture Strategy was the top recruiter, making 75 job offers, followed by Boston Consulting Group (25 offers), TCS Management Consulting (24 offers), and American Express (20 offers).

Sector-Wise Breakdown of Offers

The placement process saw a diverse range of industries participating, with notable sectors including:

  • Management Consulting: 32 firms made 245 offers.
  • IT Software/Analytics/Product Management: 34 firms made 80 offers.
  • Finance/Banking/Investments: 41 firms made 79 offers.
  • E-commerce/Payments/Telecom/Logistics: 19 firms made 70 offers.
  • Manufacturing/Construction/Energy: 19 firms made 38 offers.
  • FMCG/Retail: 16 firms made 37 offers.
  • Conglomerates: 8 firms made 23 offers.

Average and Highest Salary Packages

While specific salary details for the 2025 placements are not fully disclosed, previous reports indicate an average salary range of approximately ₹35 LPA to ₹45 LPA for IIM graduates. The highest salary packages can reach up to ₹90 LPA, reflecting the strong demand for IIMB alumni in the industry.

Participation from Legacy and New Recruiters

The placement process witnessed strong participation from both legacy firms and new recruiters, with about 30% of the companies being first-time participants. This demonstrates the growing reputation of IIMB and its ability to attract a diverse pool of recruiters.

Lateral Placement Success

The lateral placement process, which caters to candidates with more than 18 months of work experience, secured over 100 offers, marking a significant achievement among top B-schools in India.
