For thousands of engineering PG aspirants in Gujarat, a significant hurdle was crossed this past weekend as the Gujarat PGCET 2025 (Post Graduate Common Entrance Test) examination was successfully conducted on July 5 and 6, 2025. This crucial state-level entrance test serves as the gateway for admissions into various postgraduate engineering programs, including M.E./M.Tech, as well as M.Pharma, in colleges across Gujarat.

Administered by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), the examination tested candidates on their aptitude for advanced studies in their respective engineering disciplines. With the examination now concluded, the focus of PG engineering aspirants immediately shifts to the declaration of results and the subsequent counselling process.

Results Expected by Mid-July, Counselling Dates to Follow:

The ACPC has officially announced the timeline for the Gujarat PGCET 2025 result declaration. The provisional result, in the form of a merit list, is scheduled to be released on July 15, 2025. This merit list will be instrumental in determining candidates' eligibility and ranking for the upcoming admission rounds.

While the result date has been confirmed, the counselling schedule for Gujarat PGCET 2025 – including details for online registration, choice filling, and seat allotment – is yet to be announced by the ACPC. It is expected that the counselling dates will be released shortly after the merit list is published.

What's Next for PG Engineering Aspirants:

Result Vigilance: PG engineering aspirants must keep a close watch on the official ACPC website (jacpcet.ac.in or gujacpc.nic.in for counselling related updates) for the release of the merit list on July 15, 2025. They will need to download their provisional result/merit list once available.

Document Preparation: While waiting for counselling dates, candidates should proactively gather and prepare all necessary documents. This typically includes:

  1. Gujarat PGCET 2025 Hall Ticket
  2. Graduation (B.E./B.Tech) Mark Sheets and Degree Certificate
  3. Provisional Certificate
  4. GATE Scorecard (if applicable, as GATE-qualified candidates are usually exempted from PGCET and are also part of this counselling)
  5. Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  6. Domicile Certificate
  7. Passport-sized photographs

Course and College Research: Aspirants should utilize this time to thoroughly research the various M.E./M.Tech specializations offered by different colleges in Gujarat, their faculty, infrastructure, and previous year's cut-offs, to make informed choices during the counselling's option entry phase.

The successful completion of the Gujarat PGCET 2025 exam is a significant step, and the upcoming result declaration will set the stage for the final admission procedures. PG engineering aspirants are advised to remain patient, yet proactive, in preparing for the counselling rounds to secure their desired seat for Higher Education and advance their engineering careers.
