Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University (DDUGU) has started Uttar Pradesh's first dual Master of Business Administration (MBA) program in collaboration with Lincoln University College (LUC), Malaysia. The announcement was made on July 2, 2026, after the university’s Executive Council approved the plan. Students who finish the program will receive MBA degrees from both universities. DDUGU is the first state-run university in Uttar Pradesh to offer this type of dual MBA. Vice-Chancellor Professor Poonam Tandon called this initiative a major step toward internationalizing higher education at the university.
Program Structure
The dual MBA program lasts for two academic years. Students will spend the first year at the Gorakhpur campus in India and the second year at Lincoln University College in Malaysia. Both institutions will award their respective MBA degrees at the end of the program. This program is designed to give students international academic exposure and direct experience with global business practices. University officials believe the two-degree structure may increase the chances of students from eastern Uttar Pradesh getting jobs in multinational companies.

The MoU covers dual-degree programs, joint research, faculty exchange, and broader academic cooperation. It applies to undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD levels, which means more joint degrees between India and Malaysia may come in future sessions.
