Eligible candidates can now select and lock their preferred colleges and courses through the official portal at dme.mponline.gov.in. The deadline to lock choices is 11:59 PM on August 18, 2026. Candidates are advised to complete the process well before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues.

Who Is Eligible for Round 1 Choice Filling?
Candidates must meet the following conditions:
- Must have qualified NEET UG 2026.
- Must have completed MP state counselling registration by August 13, 2026.
- Must be included in the provisional merit list released on August 14.
- Must satisfy the applicable eligibility requirements for the selected courses and seats.
Only candidates who completed the MP state counselling registration process within the prescribed timeline can participate in Round 1 choice filling.
How to Fill and Lock Choices
The entire choice-filling process is conducted online.
- Visit dme.mponline.gov.in.
- Log in using your NEET UG 2026 roll number and password.
- Open the Round 1 Choice Filling section from the dashboard.
- Select your preferred colleges and courses.
- Arrange the choices according to your preference, placing the most preferred option first.
- Review the complete list carefully.
- Click on the Lock Choices option.
- Confirm the locking process.
- Download and save the choice-locking confirmation slip.
- Candidates should ensure that their final preference order is correct before locking the choices.
What Happens If Choices Are Not Locked?
Candidates should manually lock their choices before the deadline. If the choices are not manually locked, they will be automatically locked when the choice-filling window closes, as per the counselling process. Therefore, candidates should not wait until the last few minutes to complete the process.
Documents Required at Reporting
Candidates who receive a seat in Round 1 must report to the allotted college with the required original documents.
The documents include:
- NEET UG 2026 scorecard and admit card.
- Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and certificates.
- Madhya Pradesh domicile certificate, where applicable for state quota seats.
- Category certificate for SC, ST, OBC or EWS candidates, where applicable.
- Government-issued photo ID proof.
- Recent passport-size photographs.
