This change offers a vital extra window for students to finalize their preferred college and course choices. This news is a must-read for all diploma-qualified B.Tech aspirants seeking lateral entry into engineering colleges in Karnataka.

Revised Schedule and Key Dates

The KEA has pushed back the dates for both the option entry and the subsequent provisional seat allotment. Here are the key updates to the schedule:

• Option Entry and Fee Payment: The final deadline for completing the option entry and paying the caution fee has been extended to August 18, 2025, at midnight.
• Provisional Seat Allotment: The provisional seat allotment result for DCET Round 3 is now scheduled to be released on August 19, 2025, after 4 PM.
• Final Seat Allotment: The final seat allotment list will be made available on August 20, 2025, after 4 PM.

Important Instructions for Aspirants

Candidates are advised to take advantage of this extension to meticulously review their filled choices on the official KEA portal. Ensure that your selections are in the correct order of preference, as the seat allotment is done based on merit and the options filled. A caution fee of Rs. 40,000 for General category students and Rs. 10,000 for SC/ST is required to be paid before the option entry deadline.

Aspirants are strongly advised to check the official website of the KEA for the most accurate and recent updates. Missing the physical reporting deadline after the final seat allotment will lead to the forfeiture of the caution deposit and a penalty, as per the rules.
