CUSAT CAT 2026 and OJEE 2026 Applications Gain Momentum in February Admission Calendar

As the national-level JEE Main January session concludes, the spotlight is shifting toward regional entrance exams that offer high-ROI education. Today, February 2, marks a significant acceleration in the application cycles for the Cochin University of Science and Technology Common Admission Test (CUSAT CAT) 2026 and the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) 2026. Both portals have reported a high volume of traffic as students from across the country seek admission to prestigious state-run universities and private professional colleges in Kerala and Odisha.

CUSAT CAT 2026: Key Deadlines and Exam Pattern

CUSAT CAT remains one of the most sought-after exams for engineering aspirants due to the university's strong industry ties and research focus. The registration for all Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs started on January 27, 2026.

• Registration Deadline: The last date to apply for UG/PG programs is March 5, 2026.
• Special Deadlines: MBA aspirants have until April 30, while M.Tech candidates must register by April 16.
• Exam Dates: The test will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) on May 9, 10, and 11, 2026.
• Official Portal: Candidates should only use the official CUSAT admission link for their applications.

OJEE 2026: Broadening Professional Horizons

Simultaneously, the OJEE 2026 registration has gained momentum. Unlike many exams that focus solely on B.Tech, OJEE serves as a gateway for lateral entry to B.Tech, B.Pharm, MBA, MCA, and M.Tech courses in Odisha.

• Registration Phase: February is the primary window for OJEE registrations, with the exam typically scheduled for early May.
• Lateral Entry Focus: OJEE is particularly popular for diploma holders seeking entry into the second year of engineering programs.
• Aadhaar Integration: Following the 2026 trend, OJEE has also implemented Aadhaar-based verification to streamline the counseling and seat allotment process.

Navigating the February Admission Calendar

February is often the busiest month for aspirants as multiple state exams open their windows. Managing these overlapping deadlines requires a clear strategy and an organized document repository.

Conclusion

Aspirants are advised to double-check their eligibility criteria, particularly the age limits and academic requirements, before initiating the application. For CUSAT CAT, ensuring that the name matches the Aadhaar record is critical to avoiding rejection. With the registration now fully active, students should prioritize these regional gateways as they offer excellent alternatives to the highly competitive national-level seats.
