COMEDK UGET 2025: Round 2 Choice-Filling Concludes Today

Today, August 8, 2025, marks the final day for eligible candidates to fill and lock their choices for COMEDK UGET 2025 Round 2 counselling. This is a crucial deadline for aspiring engineers who wish to secure a seat in colleges across Karnataka. The choice-filling window, which began on August 7, will close at 4:00 PM today. Candidates must act quickly to submit their preferences on the official COMEDK website, comedk.org, to be considered for seat allotment in this round.

This particular round of counselling is primarily for candidates belonging to the Kalyana Karnataka Region (KKR) category. It is a vital opportunity for those who were not allotted a seat in Round 1, as well as those who had opted for "Accept & Upgrade" or "Reject & Upgrade" in the previous round. The seat allotment is based on the choices submitted, the candidate's rank, and the seat availability, with a total of 3,485 KKR seats available for this round.

Important Dates and Next Steps

Missing the choice-filling deadline will mean that a candidate will not be considered for seat allotment in Round 2. Here's a look at the key dates and the steps that follow the choice-filling:

• Choice-Filling and Locking: The process concludes today, August 8, 2025, at 4:00 PM.
• Round 2 Seat Allotment Result: The provisional seat allotment results will be published on August 12, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
• Decision Making and Fee Payment: Candidates who are allotted a seat in Round 2 must make a decision (Accept & Freeze, Accept & Upgrade, etc.) and pay the admission fees online. This window is open from August 12 to August 16, 2025.
• Reporting to Allotted College: The physical reporting and document verification at the respective colleges for candidates who "Accept & Freeze" their seats is scheduled from August 12 to August 16, 2025.

Candidates who have already secured a seat in Round 1 but wish to participate in Round 2 for an upgrade will have their Round 1 seat automatically forfeited if they are allotted a new seat in Round 2.

How to Fill and Lock Choices

To fill their choices, candidates must log in to the official COMEDK portal using their application ID and password. They can then add, remove, or reorder their preferences for colleges and courses. It is highly recommended that candidates refer to the Round 2 seat matrix, which has been published on the website, to make informed decisions. After finalizing their preferences, they must save and lock their choices before the deadline. Once choices are locked, no further changes are permitted. It is advisable to download a copy of the filled choices for future reference.

For a smooth admission process, candidates are advised to keep all necessary documents ready for physical verification. These typically include the COMEDK UGET Rank Card, 10th and 12th-grade mark sheets, a valid ID proof, and the KKR certificate for those claiming a seat under this category. With the final day to submit choices here, aspirants must ensure they complete the process to remain in contention for a seat.
