CMAT 2027 Notification Expected Mid-October: Registration, Fees and Eligibility So Far

The CMAT 2027 notification has not yet been released, but the National Testing Agency (NTA) is widely expected to publish it — along with the registration form — around the second week of October 2026. That estimate isn't arbitrary: NTA released the CMAT 2026 notification and application form on October 17, 2025, and most exam trackers are projecting a similar window this year. A smaller number of sources push the estimate into November instead, so treat every date in this article as a planning guide, not a confirmed schedule, until NTA's own notification is out.

Quick Facts: CMAT 2027 (All Dates Expected/Tentative)

Why October Is the Working Estimate

CMAT follows a fairly consistent annual cycle. Last year's notification (for CMAT 2026) was released on October 17, 2025, with the exam ultimately held on January 25, 2026. If NTA repeats that pattern, CMAT 2027's notification landing in the second week of October 2026 — and the exam falling around January 24, 2027 — is a reasonable projection. It's worth being upfront, though, that not every tracker agrees: a few place the notification as late as the second or third week of November 2026, which would push the whole cycle back by a few weeks. Until NTA publishes the actual notification, both are just estimates, and this article leans on the October estimate because it's the one most directly anchored to last year's real release date rather than to a rolling guess.

A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university is the basic requirement — there's no minimum percentage cut-off attached to eligibility itself. Final-year graduation students can also apply, provided their results are declared before the relevant academic session begins. There is no upper age limit.

CMAT 2027 Application Fee (Expected, Based on Last Cycle)

NTA has kept the fee structure stable across recent cycles, so this table reflects what's expected to carry over — but candidates should confirm the exact figures once the official notification is out, since fee revisions are occasionally announced alongside a new cycle.

CMAT Exam Pattern (Based on Recent Cycles)

CMAT is typically a single-session, computer-based test with a 180-minute duration and no sectional time limit, built around five sections: Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship. The exam is generally conducted across 100+ cities in India. CMAT 2026 was held on January 25, 2026, with roughly 41,900 candidates appearing — a useful benchmark for gauging this cycle's likely scale, though CMAT 2027's own numbers will depend on final registration figures.

What's Still Unconfirmed

• Exact notification date — projected for October 2026, but a handful of trackers estimate November instead.
• Exact registration window — the specific opening and closing dates will only be locked in once NTA publishes the notification.
• Final fee structure — expected to match last cycle, not yet officially confirmed for 2027.
• Number of test cities — recent cycles have ranged between roughly 100 and 124 cities depending on the source.

Candidates are better served checking cmat.nta.nic.in directly in the coming weeks than locking their plans to any single projected date.
