CLAT 2025 Counselling Registration Ends Today | Seat Allotment Rounds & NLU Admission Timeline

The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has commenced the CLAT 2025 Counselling Registration process from May 17, 2025, with the final day to register being May 21, 2025. The registration is mandatory for those candidates who have been listed on the official CLAT 2025 Invite List, published on the Consortium’s official portal – consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

Following the release of the CLAT 2025 Revised Result on May 17, the Consortium opened the doors for aspirants to begin their admission journey into India’s top National Law Universities (NLUs) and affiliated non-NLU institutions through the centralised counselling system.

CLAT 2025 Counselling Schedule and Rounds

The counselling process for CLAT 2025 will consist of three rounds of seat allotment, spread across late May and June 2025. Below is the official timeline:

Candidates will be required to confirm their admission choices via the Freeze or Float options after every round. Those who opt to accept or revise their seats will also have to pay a confirmation fee within the stipulated time period.

Important Guidelines for CLAT 2025 Counselling

Only candidates mentioned in the Invite List are eligible for registration.

Candidates who have already completed their registration earlier need not register again. However, they may choose to update their NLU preferences within the deadline.

The counselling process is entirely online, and students must log in to the official portal with their registered credentials.

There are 3,213 seats for Undergraduate (UG) programs and 1,217 seats for Postgraduate (PG) programs available under CLAT 2025.

How to Check CLAT 2025 Seat Allotment Result

Once the seat allotment lists are released, candidates can check their result using the steps below:

Visit consortiumofnlus.ac.in

Click on the CLAT login section

Enter your registered mobile number and password

View and download your allotment status

Shortlisted candidates will have to complete the admission formalities, which include payment of fees and submission of supporting documents within the given timeframe.

Admission Process Summary

The CLAT 2025 counselling process ensures fair and transparent admission into the country’s most prestigious law institutions. This includes 22 NLUs and select non-NLU law schools participating in the centralised counselling rounds.

Candidates are urged not to delay their registrations or preference updates and to stay regularly updated through the official CLAT website to avoid missing important announcements.
