Christ University Law School has released the schedule for the final phase of its admission process—the Personal Interview (PI) round—for applicants to the three-year LLB program for the academic year 2025-26. This announcement follows a multi-stage selection process that includes an entrance test and is a crucial final step for candidates hoping to secure a seat at one of the country's most well-regarded private law schools. The PI is a vital component of the university’s comprehensive evaluation, designed to assess a candidate's communication skills, personality, and genuine aptitude for the legal profession.

The three-year LLB program at Christ University is specifically designed for graduates from various disciplines who wish to pursue a career in law. The selection process is meticulous, aiming to identify candidates who possess not only the intellectual capacity to excel in legal studies but also the interpersonal skills and motivation to succeed in a demanding field. The Personal Interview is a key determinant in this regard, providing the admissions panel with a direct opportunity to gauge a candidate's clarity of thought, critical thinking, and overall suitability for the program.

Accessing Your Interview Schedule and What to Expect

Candidates who have successfully cleared the entrance test and are shortlisted for the PI round will receive their specific interview date, time, and mode (online or offline) through their registered email ID. A Google Calendar invite is typically sent one day before the scheduled PI, containing a link to the online meeting platform for those attending virtually. Applicants are advised to check their email regularly and keep their unique application ID and password ready to check the admission portal for updates.

The Personal Interview round is a critical juncture where candidates can demonstrate their passion for law beyond their test scores and academic records. The interview panel, comprising senior faculty members, typically evaluates candidates on a range of factors, including:

  • Communication Skills: Clarity of expression, command of the English language, and the ability to articulate thoughts effectively.
  • General and Legal Awareness: An understanding of current affairs, recent legal developments, and a basic knowledge of the Indian legal system.
  • Motivation: The reasons for choosing a legal career and, specifically, why they have chosen Christ University.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: The capacity to analyze hypothetical situations and offer reasoned solutions.

Candidates are strongly encouraged to prepare thoroughly for the PI, which is often preceded by a Micro Presentation (MP) round, where they may be asked to speak on a given topic for a short duration. The PI itself typically lasts for about ten minutes, and candidates are expected to be well-prepared, punctual, and dressed in formal attire, even for online interviews.

Mandatory Documents and the Next Steps

Applicants must have a set of original documents available for verification during the interview. While the specific list may vary, it typically includes:

  • Government-recognized photo identity card (Aadhar card/Passport/Voter ID).
  • Original Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets.
  • Original degree mark sheets and degree certificate for all semesters/years of their undergraduate program.

Students pursuing their final year of graduation must have mark sheets up to their previous semester/year. Candidates who fail to produce these documents during the interview will be deemed "Not Selected."

After the successful completion of the interview and verification, the final merit list of selected candidates is published on the university's website. These selected candidates will then be required to pay the admission fee within a specified timeframe to confirm their seat. Failure to do so will lead to the cancellation of their admission offer. The comprehensive and transparent admission process at Christ University ensures that only the most deserving candidates are offered a place, upholding the university's high standards of legal education.
